PLAYERS: Justin Lofton
Justin Lofton and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). No. 6 Third Annual Justin Lofton Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament / Lofton Cattle Chevrolet team battled a drama filled weekend at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) during the Lucas Oil 150, finishing the night in the tenth spot.   Shortly after the start of the opening practice session Lofton and the No. 6 Chevrolet team's challenges began.  After scraping the wall in the first practice session, the team worked quickly to repair their truck and sent Lofton out on the track to feel out their Chevrolet.  Lofton's crew worked carefully to find front grip and fine-tune the handling of their truck.  With just minutes left in the final practice, Lofton was attempting a mock run when he made contact with another truck resulting in additional damage to the No. 6 Chevrolet. Fortunately with just minimal damage to their truck, Lofton's crew made the over-night repairs and was ready for Fridays qualifying.   Starting Friday nights race in the 22nd position, Lofton battled all night to muscle the No. 6 Third Annual Justin Lofton Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament / Lofton Cattle Chevrolet up through the pack. On Lap 37, Lofton brought the No. 6 Chevrolet down pit road for a yellow flag pit stop to get fuel, four tires and a chassis adjustment. Lofton continue to in to the top ten and, on lap 70 during the fifth caution of the night, Lofton once again pitted, receiving two right side tires and fuel. By lap 97, Lofton had raced his truck hard and had put his truck in to the firstposition.   During the sixth caution of the night on lap 102, Lofton reported that he might have a front right tire going down. In a race filled with 8 total cautions, there was plenty of opportunity for debris to cut a tire down. On lap 105 Lofton brought his No. 6 Third Annual Justin Lofton Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament / Lofton Cattle Chevrolet down pit road for another set of right side tires. However, after the crew examined the old set of tires they saw no sign of a flat tire. Restarting on lap 108 in the 18th position Lofton once again began picking off the competition. However, the 42 laps remaining in the150 lap race, Lofton ended the 150-lap race in the tenth position.   "I'm disappointed that we didn't win the race, but all-and-all considering how our weekend started, I'm pleased with finishing in tenth," expressed Lofton. " I had over 20 guests from my home in the Imperial Valley of California and I wanted to give them all a great show. The crew really worked hard to get the truck back together after the practice session incidences."   Justin Lofton PR
