Kenny Wallace driver of the #09 for RAB Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series was docked six points for his car failing post race inspection at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday for the STP 300. Lots of questions were raised when it was announced that Wallace was also a “late entry” which made him ineligible for the Dash for Cash. Wallace explained on Twitter that the reason their car failed post race inspection was because they had the sway bar cap break off which in turn destroyed the bottom of the car. He said he ran over the piece which almost made him wreck. When the piece broke off it took front weight away from the #09 and made the car very lose. The missing sway bar cap made the car weigh less and they received a penalty for their car being too light. He said, “So we got penalized on being “too light” but in reality that’s just verbiage. We about fell out of the race on a broken part.” On the Dash for Cash, Wallace admits that was their fault that it was a “late entry”. ...
