Matt Kenseth enters Sunday’s AdvoCare 500 from the Phoenix International Raceway with one career win at the track, that was in 2002. He will look to add a second career victory here in his second to last race with Roush Fenway Racing. One year ago he finished 34th after an accident, but in the spring he finished 13th. Team:  No. 17 Ford EcoBoost Fusion Crew Chief:  Jimmy Fennig Chassis: Primary: RK-808 (last run at Atlanta)   FAST FACTS: -Kenseth has an average starting position of 20.6 and an average finishing position of 17.8 at Phoenix -In 20 starts, Kenseth has achieved one win, five top-five and eight top-10 finishes, and one pole at Phoenix in the Sprint Cup series -Kenseth has completed 5,747 of 6,310 (91.1 percent) laps at Phoenix and led for a total of 212 laps -This weekend at Phoenix, Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 Ford EcoBoost Fusion -Entering this weekend, Kenseth is currently fifth in the NSCS Chase driver point standings                                Matt Kenseth on racing at Phoenix International Raceway: “Phoenix is a place that we’ve been working on to get our cars handling how we need them to at the shorter flat tracks.  With the repave at Phoenix, the track was pretty slick to begin with, but I feel that it’s been coming around the more we run laps there.  We’ve struggled at short tracks in the past, but I really feel like we’ve made a lot of improvements in our program lately.  Even though we’re out of the title hunt, we’ve been striving to keep improving our position in the standings.  Jumping up three positions in the points after last weekend was a big boost with two races remaining.” Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Phoenix International Raceway: “We struggled at Phoenix earlier this year, but I feel like we’ve learned a lot since the start of the season, and our goal is to apply what we’ve learned all season long to improve on our efforts this weekend.  In the spring, we just couldn’t get the car to turn in the middle for Matt and the car got tighter as the race went on with less grip so those are all the things that we’ll work on going into this weekend.  The car we’re bringing was last run at Atlanta and it’s one of our newer cars that we made into a short-track car, and it’s a car I feel confident in.
