Denny Hamlin picked off the poll as Kyle Busch going for the sweep had to start in the back as he wrecked he wrecked his car in qualifying. Denny Hamlin started out leading the race as Kyle Busch was only slowly moving up through the field.  Kurt Busch though did get hot and took the race lead on lap 23 as lapped traffic helped him out.  The first caution finally came out on lap 40 for Ryan Truex that smacked the wall.  Most cars pit and Brad Keselowski winds ups smacking the David Reutimann car that was trying to get into his pit stall. Kurt Busch and others stay out. As the race restarted Kurt Busch was back to leading more laps. Then at lap 74 he would lose the race lead and then in a few laps had to come down pit road to replace a bad tire, but then picked up a speeding penalty on pit road.  At lap 90 it was caution time for Josh Wise as he smacked the wall.  The caution brought some cars down pit road.  Dale Earnhardt  Jr. winds up not pitting and takes the race lead. As the green flag laps continued Dale Earnhardt Jr. was leading more laps.  At lap 107 the debris caution comes out as Joey Logano was smoking, Kyle Busch had damage, and Danica hit the wall.  As the race started again Dale was leading more laps.   Clint Bowyer though hot and took the race lead at lap 126.  Fifty laps go by and Clint gets spun out by Carl Edwards who was in second place.  Jeff Gordon then winds up spinning out Bobby Labonte who then smacked into Clint Bowyer.  The caution brought in the leaders with Carl Edwards holding the lead off pit road. When the race restarted Carl Edwards was back to leading laps.  At lap 198 it was Travis Kvapil hitting the wall, but not bringing out the caution.  Three laps later the caution does come out for Tony Raines that hits the wall.  The caution only brought a bunch of cars down pit road for service.  As the race restarted Carl Edwards was back leading laps.  Matt Kenseth started to get hot and then was able to take the race lead at lap 235.  The debris caution came out on lap 256.  This caution brought in the leaders, but a few cars including Paul Menard don't pit.  Matt Kenseth got caught this time for speeding on pit road. Paul Menard got to lead green flag laps this time.  The next debris caution came out on lap 333 after David Gilliland and Bobby Labonte get together.  The leaders pitted and Kevin Harvick took only two tires while Juan Pablo Montoya got caught for speeding.   As the green flag dropped Kevin Harvick did not lead many laps and Carl Edwards was back in the race lead.  The caution came out on lap 358 as Jimmie Johnson got some major car damage as he smacked into David Reutimann. As the race restarted it was not a long green flag run and as Matt Kenseth took the race lead Jeff Burton spun out to bring out the caution.  During the caution laps Carl Edwards changed ignition boxes and then lost a lot a lot spot as the green flag laps started. Then at lap 390 he went behind the wall and out of the race. "Most fun I had in a race car in a long time," said Carl Edwards. The next caution finally came out at lap 438 for debris out on the race track.  Some cars on the lead lap come down for service.  Wi8th 54 laps the race restarted and a big wreck occurs in the back involving Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, and more.  This brought out the red flag which did not last long though. "Wish we had the old Bristol to race on," said Kevin Harvick. During this time Kevin Harvick wound up pitting in the Denny Hamlin pit stall and the Denny Hamlin car pushed the Kevin Harvick car out of his pit stall.  Then Kevin Harvick got out his car to speak to Denny Hamlin. "I didn't see anything," said Martin Truex Jr. on the wreck. With 47 laps left the race restarted and Matt Kenseth was back leading laps.  Kasey Kahne at this time was really hot and moved his way up to second place.  With 14 laps left Kasey made an attempt for the lead but it did not work.  At 10 laps left he made another attempt and this time they did some banging, but Kasey still could not do it.    With five laps left Kasey tried again and it did not work.  On the final lap Kasey got to his bumper, but could not get the win. "We were racing as hard as we could race," said Matt Kenseth. "Still a good points day," said Kasey Kahne.  "I thought I had him at one point." "Went dead straight," said Denny Hamlin on his car on the wreck.
