Kenseth, Johnson unwilling to provide extra drama

FORT WORTH, Texas Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth aren't helping Texas Motor Speedway in its bid to promote the AAA Texas 500. Two years ago when Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart were fighting for the Sprint Car title, a boxing ring, robes and gloves were used to pump up the race. Both drivers played it up with Stewart exiting the media center following the fall win wearing his...

Gordon a longshot but in the hunt

When it comes to NASCAR Sprint Cup championship storylines, the best ones are those so outrageous that you couldn't make them up if you tried. Gordon is just glad the tone of the questions has changed with three races left in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. ''Man, the thing is, I love just the fact that we're in the conversation right...

Ty Dillon dominates NCWTS race at Texas Motor Speedway

One week after tussling with teammate Kevin Harvick on the track, Ty Dillon put the drama behind him and scored his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory of the season. Leading 130 of the 147 laps, Dillon was the class of the field for much of the night, but was forced to fight his way back to the lead after the final restart. Taking the checkered flag, Dillon recorded...

NASCAR Drivers on the Move: Kenseth, Johnson tied for top spot with three races left

Martinsville Speedway, the half mile track also known as “the paperclip” kept some Chase hopefuls dreams at a Sprint Cup Championship alive, while effectively squashing others. Jeff Gordon caught the checkered flag in his Hendrick Motorsports Chevy after 500 laps during the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500. However, the 7th race of the chase collected even more championship...

Austin Dillon steers clear of RCR spat

Austin Dillon did his best to avoid the feud between his brother Ty and Richard Childress Racing's veteran driver Kevin Harvick last weekend at Martinsville Speedway. After Ty Dillon and Harvick tangled in the truck race and then exchanged sheet metal and words following the altercation, there were discussions on whether to keep Harvick in the No. 29 RCR Chevy last Sunday. ...
