Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. comes into Saturday’s Great Clips 200 tied atop the standings in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He will try to out race the driver he’s tied with, Elliott Sadler, at the Phoenix International Raceway. In five career starts, Stenhouse has two top 5s and five top 10s, which is good news to his title hopes. Team: No. 6 Valvoline NextGen Ford Mustang Crew Chief:  Mike Kelley Chassis: RK-748 – primary – last raced at Richmond- finished second                 RK–696 – backup – last ran at Dover – finished ninth. FAST FACTS: -So far in 2012, Ricky has six wins, 18 top-five, and 24 top-10 finishes. -Stenhouse is currently first in the NASCAR Nationwide point standings; both Elliott Sadler and Stenhouse are tied. -At Phoenix, Stenhouse will pilot the No. 6 Valvoline NextGen Ford Mustang. -Stenhouse has completed 1000 of 1000 (100%) laps at PIR. -Stenhouse has an average starting position of 12.8 and an average finishing position of 6.6 at PIR. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Phoenix International Raceway: “Phoenix is such a great race track. Earlier this year, we finished third so hopefully we can improve on that this time around. We are in a tight championship battle so we have to race smart and make sure we get a solid finish. Valvoline NextGen is making their debut on our No. 6 Ford so it would be great to get them into victory lane.”  Crew chief Mike Kelley on racing at Phoenix International Raceway: “We are bringing one of Ricky’s favorite cars, Maverick. We have to execute on pit-road and dial our No. 6 Valvoline NextGen Ford in to track conditions. We are tied with Elliott(Sadler) atop the leader board. We have two races to win this championship and I’m confident in our No. 6 team. If we have a solid outing then we will leave Phoenix still as the points’ leader.”
