Many old school fans remember watching Chase Elliott being carried by his famous father -- Bill Elliott -- during media interviews in the 1990s. Racing was ingrained in the 17-year old Elliott's blood from a young age, and according to his website (chaseelliott.com), it was his father's win in the 2002 Brickyard 400 that cemented the fact that he wanted to pursue a career as a racecar driver.
Now fast-forward a little more than ten years, and Chase Elliott -- at the age of 17 -- is on the verge of running races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
