Kurt Busch's Phoenix Racing No. 51 Chevrolet will sport a Ricky Bobby "ME" paint scheme from the movie "Talladega Nights: the Ballad Of Ricky Bobby" for the Aaron 499.
In the Will Ferrell comedy, NASCAR racer Ricky Bobby doesn't have a sponsor and improvises by using ME and a cougar logo. After Busch's team was lacking a sponsor, his girlfriend suggested using the Ricky Bobby theme.
After two months of negotiations, the team got approval to use the paint scheme from the film's creators.
Life imitates art with a good cause. The car will also carry the words "I Wanna Go Fast" on the rear of the car to promote the Armed Forces Foundation.
A message on the decklid will read: "Text AFF to 50555 to donate $5".
((HT: NASCAR on FOX/youtube))Because, after all, it's all about me...Admittedly, when TBH informed the HQ about the idea that Kurt Busch and Phoenix Racing had for the Talladega race, we were looking forward to seeing Laughing Clown Malt Liquor on the hood of the 51 car since Wonder said "No."Party poopers...But they were having a good day until the eventual winner...

“Shake and Bake?”…”If you’re not first, you’re last.” NASCAR racer Kurt Busch brought the sport’s greatest movie spoof to life. Sort of.
His Phoenix Racing team didn’t have a sponsor for this weekend’s Sprint Cup race at the Talladega Superspeedway, the Aaron’s 499, so Kurt Busch’s girlfriend Patricia Driscoll, came up with an idea while watching the Will...
Full disclosure: I’ve watched “Talladega Nights” all of once.
And as I tell everybody who cares to listen and quite a few who don’t, I left the movie theater unimpressed, considering that they made essentially the same movie — 1983′s “Stroker Ace” with Bert Reynolds, Loni Anderson, Jim Nabors and Ned Beatty — 23 years earlier. It did a far better job poking fun...

"I met with Kurt about starting a second team for next year," said Joe Garone, FRR general manager.
Since FRR made its debut in 2005, it became clear to team owner Barney Visser that the Denver-based organization would eventually have to expand to two teams to compete with...
