The 2011-2012 season brings some interesting prospects for the Phoenix Suns. No longer are they considered one of the few teams across the league that have a legit shot at winning a NBA championship, but they are also probably aren’t bad enough to be considered one of the worst teams and get a top five pick in the draft.
Phoenix will once be headed by the veteran duo of Steve Nash and Grant Hill. There were once again whispers about Nash being traded to a contender during the offseason, but never of serious note materialized. Hill gave Suns fans a bit of a scare flirting with the Knicks and a few other teams, but decided to return to the Valley for his fifth season.
Backing up Nash will be Sebastian Telfair and Ronnie Price. Both were signed to one-year deals a few weeks back. Who will get the most minutes is anyone’s guess at this point. Price is best suited to get the more minutes because of his size and defense, but Telfair impressed Gentry throughout training camp.
