After Monday night's depressing loss to Miami, the Celtics will hit the road tonight for a matchup with the New Orleans Hornets. This will be the second time these two meet, with the first being a win for the Hornets at the Garden. I consider this one to be an absolute must win. If they drop this one, they will be in some deep sh*t. Here are tonight's five things: 5. DON'T HAVE BASS TAKE THE BIG SHOTS: I know that I just recently said that Bass should shoot more, but not in big-game situations. Late in the loss to the Heat, Bass got the ball and missed a layup. Please don't let this happen again. 4. DON'T IGNORE THE PRESS: This happened a ton against Miami. The Heat would press and the Celtics wouldn't even acknowledge it. Miami would have a 4-on-1 advantage and easily steal the ball and convert it into a bucket. 3. DON'T LET CRAWFORD SHOOT THREES: In my opinion, Jordan Crawford is a solid player. But he should never shoot threes. If there's one thing we learned about him on Monday, it's that his shot isn't that good. Limit him to long twos. 2. NO DUMB SHOTS: I'm talking to you, Paul Pierce. You, the supposed leader of this team, took the most selfish and stupid shot I have ever seen on that last possession. NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. 1. MORE DETERMINATION: Monday's fourth quarter was definitely one to forget. With a little bit of smart play, they could've dribbled the clock out. In extreme desperation, I ask the Celtics to play hard for 48 minutes, not just 40. This isn't college. Tip-off for tonight's game will be at 8:00 pm ET. You can see it on CSN-NE.
