Found June 13, 2013 on Project Spurs:
The San Antonio Spurs (14-3) will look to put a grip on the 2013 NBA Finals as they host the Miami Heat (13-6) at the AT&T Center for Game 4. The Spurs are coming off a huge win over the Heat in Game 3 winning 113-77 in San Antonio. The Spurs were paced by Danny Green, who finished with a career postseason-high 27 points and made a postseason-high 7 three-pointers. Gary Neal finished with a postseason-high 24 points, connecting on a career postseason–high 6 threes. The Spurs set a Finals record with 16 three-pointers. Lebron James finished with 15 points off 7-21 shooting from the field. Tony Parker is also expected to play tonight in Game 4 after suffering a left hamstring injury in Game 3. And as the Spurs look to go up 3-1 in the Finals, here are five things to watch for in Game 4: • Miami is 5-3 on the road this postseason. • Spurs' Danny Green has made 16 three-pointers through three games, which marks the most in an NBA Finals series in Spurs franchise history. • 11 of Miami’s 13 victories this postseason have been by double-digits. • The Spurs are 7-0 when leading at halftime at home in the postseason. • The previous two times Miami lost Game 1 of the Finals, they went on to win the Championship in 2006 and 2012.

NBA Finals: San Antonio Spurs game 4 recap, game 5 preview

The defending champs didn’t stay down for long. With their backs against the wall, the Miami Heat rebounded to post a strong 109-93 victory against the San Antonio Spurs and reclaim home-court advantage in the series. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James awoke from dreadful slumps to each score more than 30 points, attacking relentlessly and efficiently against a Spurs team that just didn’t...

Danny Green Stepping Up for the Spurs

So far the MVP of this year’s NBA Finals has been Danny Green, Yes Danny Green. In Game 3 Green was part of NBA history. As a team the Spurs hit 16 threes, 7 of which came from Green. Green was 1 off the NBA Finals record of 8 three pointers in a game. Not bad for a player that was cut 3 times during his career. Green is 12 of 14 his last two games behind the three point line...

UNC: Danny. Freaking. Green.

Danny Green had himself quite a night on Tuesday in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The former Tar Heel hit 7-9 three pointers and scored 27 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 113-77 win over Miami for a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Green's shooting along with teammate Gary Neal hitting six threes helped the Spurs set an NBA Finals record for three pointers made with...

Danny Green Insists ‘Something’s Not Right’ With Dwyane Wade, Downplays Spurs’ Defensive Job on Heat Star

Danny Green certainly isn’t cocky, which is surprising, given his lights-out shooting thus far in the NBA Finals. Still, the Spurs guard, who shrugged after Game 3 that his team’s success in reining in LeBron James has as much to do with James “stopping himself” as with anything the Spurs have done, stayed on the humble train on Thursday. Green was asked about his (and his...

Spurs Danny Green becoming America’s man-crush

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The San Antonio Spurs are not the most interesting or exciting NBA team around (and Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich likes it that way).  They’re not polarizing like the Miami Heat. People tune in to see them fall. And one of the keys to making the Heat fall is Spurs forward Danny Green. Danny Green has been a hero for the Spurs this NBA Finals, and...

Green's dream Finals is a life lesson for all of us

During the NBA Finals, John Karalis of Red's Army will be contributing to Project Spurs during the San Antonio Spurs' chase for title number five. I had no idea who Danny Green was a couple of summers ago. I was in New York, with Jeff Garcia, going to a charity game at St. John’s University. At that point, Green was a former Spur, trying like hell to get back...

Happy Hour – Crucial Game Four

After a highly competitive Game 1, the last two games of the NBA Finals have started close and ended in massive blowouts. In Game 2, it was the Heat pulling away from the Spurs, while in Game 3, the Spurs put on a three-point shooting display, led by Danny Green and Gary Neal to beat the Heat by 36. I am rooting for the Spurs but tonight, more than that, I am rooting for another...

This Really Happened: Gary Neal, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Mike Miller Outshine Everyone

Between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, there are anywhere from six to eight future Hall of Famers stepping on the court each night. LeBron James is the best player in the world.
