The Sports Bank will be counting down to the opening tip of the 2012-13 NBA season with team by team previews starting with the worst and working our way to the title contenders. There is no lockout this time around so let’s get going.
The Philadelphia 76ers made a major splash in the off-season by trading Andre Iguodala for Andrew Bynum in a four-team deal. The Sixers are...
What happens to a player’s ranking when he gets injured the previous season? Often they get labelled as injury-prone or simply forgotten by the fantasy community.
In the case of Brook Lopez, the reaction was even more extreme because he incurred two separate foot injuries that limited his 2011-12 season to just five games.
Brook Lopez is a year removed from a 82 game season where...
The 76ers have had a pretty solid start to the 2012 preseason, especially considering they are playing without their prized offseason pickup, Andrew Bynum. The thinking goes that the team will only improve once Andrew hits the hardwood, so the team's 3-1 start to this preseason sans-Bynum is pretty promising. The Sixers have bested Eastern Conference goes Boston, Cleveland, and...

The singer, whose real name is Shawn Carter, wore a black No. 4 Nets jersey with his surname...
Brooklyn Nets MarShon Brooks was expected to be out for seven-to-ten days but it is reported that he will play in tonight's game against the Boston Celtics. That means he cam back a couple of days earlier than predicted. He had been sidelined for tendinitis in his right foot. Earlier today, Tim Bontemps of the NY Post said that it is likely that MarShon Brooks plays today...
Dan Gadzuric did not appear in any of the Sixers preseason games.
Fun fact: Lavoy Allen was 14 years old when Gerald Wallace threw down the greatest dunk in preseason history. I wonder… do you think Allen has ever seen that dunk? If so, what the hell was he thinking when he tried to get in the way of Gerald Wallace? Gerald may not jump quite like he used to, but he still gets plenty high enough to humiliate defenders.
Blatant clear out...
That beautiful new Brooklyn arena and those slick black uniforms are getting the Nets plenty of attention.
The Boston Celtics sure noticed, and they delivered a reminder Thursday night that the road to the Atlantic Division title doesn't run through Atlantic Avenue just yet.
Paul Pierce scored 18 points despite briefly leaving with an ankle injury, and the Celtics spoiled the...
Nets fans sound a bit different than they did after their team blew out the Celtics. Lots of hate for Deron Williams. When fans are longing to have Gerald Green back, you know there are problems. Of course there are the wheelchair comments after Pierce came up limping after he was shoved into the photographers by Joe Johnson. Funny, he didn't seem to have that mean streak...
