With the news that millionaire athletes are running into trouble lately [Bernie Kosar, Antoine Walker, Randy Brown], Brendan Haywood -- who is known for counting his pennies carefully -- is offering some tips for pro athletes to manage their money efficiently. These are common sense rules like not buying 10 gold necklaces or 15 luxury automobiles, not putting a ton of cash into one of those "can't miss" investment opportunities your pals bring you, not subsidizing the lifestyle of all your friends and getting a pre-nup from that pretty girl you intend to marry. I'd add one more: Don't get half a dozen women pregnant and then have to pay child support for the next 18 years. Call it the Shawn Kemp rule.
