The Celtics and Rajon Rondo are about 10 million dollars apart on a new extension, per Gary Tanguay on CSN. According to Tanguay, the Celtics are offering a 5-year deal at 9M per, while Rondo is looking for 11M per.For what it's worth, Tanguay says that he's hearing that an extension will NOT get done by Monday.

Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that the NBA will allow players from the 2006 draft class to sign contract extentions through Monday instead of a Saturday deadline. That draft includes Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo who is negotiating a deal with the Celitcs.
