chris paul isnt goin anywhere

Picture Chris Paul in a Mavericks uniform. The thought has apparently crossed Mark
Cuban's mind. Rumor has it the Mavs brass let the powers that be in the Big Easy know before
the trade deadline that they'd take the Hornets' two worst contracts off their hands in a package with
Paul. I'd wager the value of Paul's four-year, max contract extension that kicks
in next season that the Mavericks will put on the full-court press with that proposal
this summer. Acquiring Paul, a perennial MVP candidate who hasn't even hit his
prime yet, and a couple of his overpaid pals would be a no-brainer basketball
deal for the Mavs. For the Hornets, such a deal would make
sense only because of the dollars. The Hornets are a prime example of a team that might have to make
a desperate, cost-cutting deal due to the economy.

Bring it on. Would love it. Kidd is playing much better this year, but CP3 is much younger and scores more points.

yea that would be great, but it is never gonna happen. No owner in their right mind would give up a great young talent like cp3. New oreleans would have an even tougher time filling their arena

Good thought, we will all be watching because of course, its Mark Cuban.
-
If Cuban was smart and held onto Devin Harris, this wouldn't even be a news story.

Show you right.

Would be nice, the Mavericks pressing needs are power forward, and center, and a strong inside game. Then the offense will roll better on the road. Playoff time teams move the Mavericks out the box too easy, hence we get the outside shooting gallery that never works. More muscle inside is what we need.

Definitely a center and a more physical small forward.Good points Robbo 24.

I agree, I love mark cuban but getting rid of devin harris plus draft picks for Jason Kidd was not a good idea. This is nothing against Kidd because he is doing well this season, but devin harris had sky high potential and could have played effectively for the mavs for another 10 years where as kidd is much older and is slowly descending into retirement. It was a very myopic move in my opinion. That is why I would give up pretty anyone on the mavs including dirk for cp3 but i dont believe he is leaving new oreleans
