Kevin McHale set on Love?

DraftExpress is reporting that multiple sources within the Minnesota organization are saying that GM Kevin McHale has locked onto Kevin Love as his favorite prospect in the draft.

"McHale reportedly likes the skill-level and all-around feel for the game that Love brings to the table, as well as his winning mentality, and sees him as an excellent potential compliment to Al Jefferson in Minnesota's front-court."

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a video of Love in training and commented how he looked leaner and more athletic. It looks like McHale sees the same things.

Minnesota's backcourt features Randy Foye and Rashad McCants, and they have Al Jefferson manning the middle, so Kevin Love would seem to be a nice addition to that core group of guys.

Love and Al Jeff. I'm thinking they won't be able to get up and down with the rest of the Western conference.

I am not a fan of Love by any means, but I always said if he lost some weight, and became more veratile then he would make for a pretty good pro. Also if he grew into that 6'10 that everybody says he is that would help as well. This draft is not that impressive in my eyes, so it would not suprise me if Love went early.

I like him. I think if he can stay lean, he can be the second or third best player on a good playoff team. He's strong, he can shoot it and he's an excellent ball handler and passer.

I wonder how he will match up against the likes of Tim, Kevin, and others. His mobility has to get better before he can match up against one of the more stacked positions. He is strong, good ball handler and an excellent passer. Stamina will be an issue though, we will see how the 82 games wear on him.
