Rasheed
We all assumed Rasheed Wallace would be coming off the bench, but Mark Murphy put the question to Doc Rivers:Rivers now gets to contemplate the possibilities. Does he start Wallace or bring him off the bench behind Kendrick Perkins? That matter was actually discussed during last week’s meeting in Detroit. “We did talk about that, and it’s like I’ve always said: We’ll get to camp and work it out there,” Rivers said. “We’re just going to put our best five on the floor, as always. But it’s going to work for everyone. “It’s a long season. I hope they all play 20 minutes a night and stay fresh after what we went through last year.”So maybe that's why this happened so fast. Wallace was told he'll get the chance to start. I want Wallace to come off the bench because he brings more offense to the second unit, something we so desparately lacked last season. • Sheed can shoot 3's and hes a jump shooter along with being good at the post. But Perk is waaay better than him in the post. But Sheed is older also. I would use Sheed sparingly, and if Perk starts to have problems with his shoulder, then Sheed gets to start, but other than that, I hope not.
  • hey im agreeing wit Mizzy21390 on this one...Boston is stacked wit player but yes they will need Rasheed but only to come off the bench and support the rest of the team. there's nothing wrong with being the 6 man on the team and as of rite now you have POWE as a free agent. so the starting 5 should remain the starting 5
  • I think that Perk should stay starting, as people have said Sheed is currently the oldest on the team, they shiould use him in the second unit so that he doesn't burn out by the Finals!
  • I like Rasheed playin' with KG on the defensive end because they are both going to communicate well and get some stops...but on the offensive things might go better with Perkins in there as center. Neither are natural post up players - I think Rasheed will help us moreso by boosting our number of points off the bench.
  • Go sheed he should be a starter just take out perkins

Chemistry Gives the Celtics an Edge

Chemistry is one of the most important but underrated pieces to building a championship team. As I watched the Rasheed Wallace press conference, I was thinking about chemistry and its importance in building a contender. Magic After McDyess, Other PF Options

After missing out on Rasheed Wallace, who the Magic were apparently never in a real position to acquire, the Magic are after his former Piston teammate, PF Antonio Mcdyess. Magic general manager Otis Smith is in pursuit of another center/forward type who can supplement an Orlando frontline that features only Howard, Rashard Lewis and Anderson now. [...]

Rolling the dice on McDyess

'Sheed is gone to Boston. All the dreams (and nightmares) of Wallace wearing the Silver and Black can now be put to rest. I was really high on 'Sheed, and I think that this is a great pick up for the Celtics. And one way or another, we still need to find a veteran big man to play alongside Duncan and our suddenly youthful and athletic frontline. A lot of speculation and...

Available Centers the Rockets Should Be Looking At

The Rockets have found themselves in an extremely dire situation and they need a center quickly. Although they tried (and failed) to bring in some of the better free agents that were available, i.e., Marcin Gortat, Rasheed Wallace, Charlie Villaneuva, Antonio McDyess and others, there are still some guys available that could provide a boost to a team that needs a quality center...
