The Los Angeles Lakers are in the NBA Finals.....and are odds on favorites to win the NBA title.
So, of course, fans of the other 28 NBA teams cry about the NBA "wants" the Lakers to win because of ratings....which equal sponsorhips....which equal big TV contracts....which equal money for the NBA. The NBA, apparantly, is a big puppet show with David Stern pushing the strings...

Even I am getting tired of this garbage.
Kobe Bryant is in the middle of yet another controversy with the Lakers….this time feuding with one-season Laker Karl Malone. A week ago….there were an imminent deal on the table to send guard Kareem Rush to the Charlotte Bobcats for table scraps….essentially opening the door [and a roster spot] for Karl Malone to return to the team...
With the NBA Finals currently deadlocked....and now a best-of-three series....it could have a great finish to it. Could.
And that gets me to thinking....what are my favorite NBA Finals?? In MY history....not all time.
I am but 30 years old [just 5 weeks from 31] so I haven't seen all of the Finals. My first Finals experience was 1984....Lakers v Celtics. Yeah, the C's...

Even without their top two big men, the Lakers had no trouble with the Hornets. Kobe Bryant and Co. cruised to a 104-88 win, as Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol sat out with injuries.
The awkwardness is over...and now gamblin' time comes. Indiana is gambling that they can survive without Ron Artest. Sacramento is gambling that they can with him.
I think it is a gamble worth taking for both teams. For Indiana, it somewhat brushes away two years of lint that's been sticking around for too long. I mean, how many games has Artest even played for the...
