Dont get your hopes up. Miami's whole goal in this is to free up money. marion is on a player option after this year and he will hit the open market. this deal for miami is all about the 40mill they still owed shaq. now they can use it for basketball players who dont need a walker

The craziest part of this is how the suns are saying they got shaq for his defensive presence. his what? he has no defensive presence. he can rebound but his footwork left him years ago. he can't defend top 5s. he cant run the break, he cant hit free throws so he'll sit late and he'll bog down the halfcourt offensive and ruin any attempt at half court offense amare would have had. i hope i'm way off but this sounds like panic mode for absolutely no reason.

The only reason shaq would fit in phoenix is for his defensive. he would give Tim duncan and garnet a hard time, two of the players the suns could face in the playoffs.

I actually think that's what Kerr was thinking when they picked up Shaq. Meeting up with San Antonio in the playoffs. The only person who could semi stop Timmy was KT and we let him go, so I really believe that's the main reason we brought Shaq to Phoenix.

Yeah. But that's going to screw up their whole strategy against the Spurs isn't it? Becuase the only way Phoenix has been able to beat the Spurs is by running against them, and Shaq can't run with PHX, and Timmy's too fast for him anyway... I'm going to hate myself for saying it, but the Suns are way better than Shaq. They don't need him.
