The Original Top 50 NBA Players of All-time
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the NBA polled a bunch of people to determine who the 50 best players of all-time were, without regard to rank. See how many of the players you can name in 5 minutes. Hint: This list is obsolete in some sense because it does not include Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett, and a few other current players who probably belong on it.

    26/50 can't believe i forgot clyde drexler
  • 30....seeing some of these names, it's even more of travesty now that Dominique Wilkins was left off
  • 39/50, couldn't spell DeBusschere
  • whew..at first I thought this was player rankings but it's just in alphabetical order.

Bill Walton does NOT belong on this list!

Dominique Wilkins and Alex English DO belong on this list!
  • All I know is that it is damn tough to cut the list to 50. I would hope that Reggie Miller would garner some recognition for a top 50 selection if the list was made today - top 15 all-time scoring list, 3-point records galore, whole career with one team, and an incredible clutch performer in the playoffs. Hard to leave him off the list in my opinion.
  • tailgater
    scored a 24 but i'm giving myself a 25 because i couldn't spell olajuwon correctly.
  • OMG, I missed Baylor and he is the reason I am a Laker fan today, and I missed Bing and Hal Greer and being from Syracuse that is unforgivable. I stink lol.

    30/50 this time

As a Knicks fan, I never liked the guy, but no Reggie Miller? Bill Walton makes the list but Reggie Miller does not? AWFUL.
  • drewnotsocore
23 but also couldn't get olajuwon right, still can't spell it right without looking
  • too easy...45/50...incredible
  • jleeaccuscore
the biggest omission from this list was dominique wilkins. reggie miller was still in the middle of his career when this list came out.
  • I would agree that the lack of Dominique Wilkins is a complete slap in the face to not only the player, but the Hawks franchise. I bet Larry and Michael would agree that 'Nique deserved to be on this list.
  • Vestintraining
    31. Spelling what was tripping me up.
  • 33...spelling messed me up too but I should be ashamed....some of the players I missed..I own their jerseys...smh.
  • 25/50...typed robinson but it didnt register. sadly i missed some great players like abdul jabbarr, gervin, and bill russel. no wilkins or reggie miller?

  • I cant believe I forgot Magic and Bird
  • i am only 14 and got 50/50
  • herr_mask
Talk about wilkins, talk about miller, both should be there, maybe gp as well, but honsetly, NO BILL RUSSEL?!? He won 11 rings and is the best interior defender ever to play in the league. Come on.
  • 49/50- Could not believe I forgot about good 'ol Bill Walton
  • 26/50
  • 32/50
