Wow, what a difference a year makes. Just last spring, I was writing about how non-existent the Denver defense was. With Allen Iverson now traded to the Pistons, and Chauncey Billups in Denver, it's starting to look like the Nuggets got the best out of that trade. But more importantly, the Nuggets are playing the kind of defense that can take them places deep into the playoffs...

We have all thought about the obvious advantages of having Sam Cassell here for the stretch run. We would have a big veteran PG to deal with Chauncey Billups. I am at a complete loss as to how a team can be so dominant on defense during the regular season both at home and on the road and can be totally dominant on defense at home in the playoffs and then go on the road and completely forget how to play defense.
