Was Boom Dizzle Hungover?

2-13 from the field is not like him. And when Don Nelson admits he gave Baron "a much-needed rest" in the 2nd half, it make you wonder. But I bet this is just a rumor that got spread without any proof. Sure, it was his B-day, but that doesn't mean the guy got wasted. He's not going to jeopardize a whole season by getting tanked and then watching his team tank a chance at making he playoffs, however slim that chance was. Plus, his pals Jessica Alba and Cash Warren already threw him a suprise party two weeks ago when the Warriors were in L.A. playing the Lakers. Even if the guy has one or two drinks to celebrate his B-day, what's the big deal?

I hope your right. Lot's of disappointed Diddy fans if word ever gets out stating otherwise.

I heard those rumors too - but I don't think so. He appears to be a pretty responsible guy with his priorities in order.
This is not the first time Nellie has made a confusing coaching decision.

Re: Nellie. Ya think? He had such a chance to build up the bench - so much talent. I will never understand his refusal to put some more guys into the rotation - at least in the regular season. By the way, what the hell happened with Matt Barnes?

Barnes is eternally in the dog house.....I always watch Nellie when Barnes comes in. He has a very short fuse with him. It's odd.
I hope to see more of Brandan Wright next season I think we will.
This race was so tight I think he was just afraid to take a chance on an unseasoned player. All season we were never more than a game or two ahead of the next guy. Makes for a very stressful situation for all involved.

This is a rumor that is spreading like "wildfire"!..lol I would also like to give Baron the benefit of the doubt because he is a professional athlete and he understood how important that game was to him and his teammates. I'm not saying that he didn't have a right to celebrate his b-day but he should have used better judgement when it came to drinking excessively.... if that happened at all. But again...this coud have been a poor move on Nellie's part. Coaches do make mistakes that cost the team. I guess we may never know but I just hope that this doesn't cause any problems between him and Nellie. As for Matt Barnes...I guess he's in the doghouse with Nellie. His minutes dropped tremendously to the point that he didn't play at all! I am such a fan of Matt and I just hate to see that his year ended terribly. I wonder what his fate is since he hasn't had much luck this year.

GSWgirl...you are right about him being "eternally" in the doghouse!! ...lol It seems like Matt has a hard time staying focused when he's out there. He seems to make some very careless mistakes and Nellie doesn't have much patience with him so he pulls him out. He has been riding the bench alot this year. I hope things turn around for him. It seems like he has never had any stability in his career. I hope they can overlook those mistakes and see that he does have potential he just needs time to develop. But when it's the NBA...time is everything....either you have what it takes or you don't!

I think he will work really hard in the off season and come back as his usual self. He was one of my favorite players in the playoffs last year. I love his super athletic style & hail mary football passes.
Understandably - I think he was distracted by his personal life. But tomorrow is a new day for him.

Hopefully, it's just a rumor. With the athletes today, who knows?

his play was really bad.....everyboy has a bad night but geez

Kind of like that night Devean George had after he screwed up that trade with N.J. I think he was 0-11 from the field and 0-2 from the foul line.

Yep, kinda like that. Man, Devean got a ton of heat for that.

ahhh ya....he couldnt even buy a bucket........good recollection fiver!

Haha......I don't think he wanted to buy a bucket after being trade bait, especially to N.J. He was going to make Cuban pay.

I doubt it...he wouldn't do that before such a crucial game....

at least he didn't drive himself home

True. He didn't pull a Carmelo.

No, he drove himself to the game instead. (Eeek. Sorry Boom!)

seem like you were at the party and you know for sure maybe you drove him home
