The Hawks have shocked the world!!! Just think if they put Boston out in the 1st round!!!! Total playoff upset. Even though im not an Atlanta Hawks fan,I do want them to win cause I DON'T like Boston!!!!!

best statement of the year, when you consider we are talking about a guy that was mentioned in 03 to be in the same breath as Lebron. I am a huge fan of Melo's however he is in fact overrated, his basketball IQ is poor at best, he cannot finish with his left and in the post that results in a high blocked rate and missed layups (see Lakers series lol). His lateral quickness is also way to slow, even when he tries to defend people on the perimeter, it just looks like he is a 1/2 a second too late and this contributes to his horrible defensive rotation and running out on shooters. He also has become one of the biggest chocker in the 4th quarter and in clutch situations in general since the 05-06 season. It was on display again in game 4 when after JR scored 6 points in a row to go up 1 he felt an urge to not be overshadowed by the kid, maybe that no the truth but he held the ball for to long and got stripped. The absolute saddest thing about melo's game especaily in contrast to Lebron james (im comparing them just because they went 1 and 3 in the draft, i dont like LB) is his leadership skills, its like he never played highscholl and college ball and someone just introduced him to a basketball in the NBA. Look at the way LB and Chris paul (i would add others bu they are younger) handle their team, they calm down their team, challenge it to be better and most of all perform in all aspects of the game...Melo i guess i put false hope in u when u came into the league, I apologize of thinking to much of u, and thinking u had huge potential, because clearly u cant handle pressure, expectations, the playoffs and the NBA...

You have lost your mind. Melo is one of the best in the NBA. You must be a watcher of sports highlights and not the game if you think he is overatted.

yea highlights and watched 86 nuggets games this year. 87 last year and never more than 87 in a while.

Overrated? Are you kidding me? Melo is pretty much the best SF in the game behind LeBron. You just might want to look at my list and compare to all the other players who play his position. Not overrated.

Hey man get Joe Johnson over here in Denver. Just a thought. We'll see how they do in game 7. The Celtics are a hot team that was just slapped together, but you're right the playoffs are a completely diff' atmosphere, - you know it's tough to watch knowing it could be Nuggz versus Jazz, but man watching LeBron, ATL, Kobe, New Orleans.....maybe this is the year to be watchin' if ya know what I mean.

It seems like to me, if you're going to be any kind of true championship contender at this time, you have to have a big three. The two teams with the best records each have their big three, the Hornets, Pistons, Spurs...they've all got their three stars.

Oh let's hope the Spurs cant stop them. I'm not a San Antonio fan and I'm from Los Angeles so I'm actually hoping for the Lakers to win it all now that my team was eliminated. (Probably shouldn't say that I'm cheering for them on this blog, huh?....SORRY!)

san antonio had finally won my appreciation when they won against suns this playoffs(SORRY), i used to hate them especially last year when they almost killed Nash!(Phoenix is my second fave team though)the only thing i dont like about lakers is they swept denver!=DD
our teams had both the same misfortunes this year!

I really feel like this is the best the Cavs have played. Wally hit his 3's and wasn't scared, Gibson put in work, Ilgauskas was on 2nite, and Varejao barely played. Finally Lebron didn't have to win it all by himself. This was a great game if your a cavs fan. If your just a bball fan, this series was amazing.

Smooth isn't Joe Johnson. J Smoove is Josh Smith. The Hawks got the heart and they are humble (excluding Big Z). I'm not going to be bias and praises my hawks. The percentage of the Hawks winning an away game is low. The C's deserve to go to the round two, but hawks is going attempt in the beginning of the first half ( then lose faith like the 3 previous games). Hopefully the Hawks will finally give a game worth watching this sunday tho.

Celtics are truly over rated. The Hawks are completely embarrassing them. Pierce getting owned by Horford, Allen has OCD, and KG looking weak out there. Celtics should win but this will be world shocking news if they lose to the Hawks.
