Janny Hu of the SF Chronicle is reporting Chris Webber will announce his retirement after 15 seasons in the NBA at a press conference tomorrow morning at 10am. Regardless of his production (or lack of) on the hardwood for the Dubs, it sounds like the move to bring C-Webb back to Oakland has been productive and emotional healing for he and Nelson.

I cannot believe no one in the Warriors organization saw this coming. It's BEEN over. He never should have come back. Did they not do a physical on him (you see, this is why the whole "physical" thing is shady)? And why wasn't he required to be in shape when he joined the team? It's obvious he had NOT been working out. Oh well. I guess he just had to see for himself.

Yeah, I can see your and TheBeard's point. And I do feel for C-Webb. But, wow, all the build up and then... crickets.

    C-Webb this am:
"I really didn't want to rehab and come back this season because I don't think that was possible," Webber said. "Plus, because the way the team is playing, the chemistry is great with these guys, they're on a roll. I feel like they're going to win, they have a great chance to go very far in the playoffs. I just felt it was time to let the game go and be able to be happy about what I accomplished without trying to keep coming back."
