Warms my heart to see Federer looking like Federer again. He has struggled with his game in much the same way as LeBron this year. You know the greatness is there but for some reason it has gone dormant. As I do whenever something is on the tip of my brain but won't come out, I turn to Ellen, otherwise known as Game Buddy #1.

The premise is simple. Assume all players are restricted free agents and that they'll likely need at least a small raise from last year's salary. Do you re-sign? Or do you release? In a game that was reminiscent of the 1988 Eastern Conference Finals where Larry Bird and Dominique Wilkins went head to head, LeBron James and Paul Pierce battled from start to finish of the Celtics 97-92 win. As in that classic game of yesterday, LeBron won the duel but Pierce got the win.

That Joe Smith could be the versatile forward to LBJ as David West is to CP3. This after the Spurs beat the Hornets in game 7...
All 4 sports. Every championship team in recent memory. Nobody compares to the Spurs, who started in 1999 and play the same way to this day: with a high basketball IQ and strong defense. A style that might award them their 5th title in 9 years.
