20 Second Timeout:
Miami Heat center Alonzo Mourning founded Alonzo Mourning Charities (AMC) in 1997. Since that time, AMC has raised more than $6 million to help children and families who are living in at-risk situations. The annual centerpiece of AMC's efforts is Zo's Summer Groove (ZSG), which will be held from July 11-July 15 in Miami.

the celtics
Just a quick note here before the links. While the Celtics were dusting off New Jersey… essentially with the bench… the Hawks were losing to the Miami Heat. I don't know how much that means… but I wouldn't like it if I were in Atlanta. I mean… the Brockton School of the Blind beat Miam...
Miami Trading No.2 pick!!
It's looking clearer and clearer that the Bulls will be taking Derrick Rose with the No. 1 pick, so much of the attention in the draft is turning to the Miami Heat, who are slated to select second.
Michael Beasley is the obvious choice at No. 2, but the Heat's words and actions behind the scenes continue to point to a possible trade if Rose goes No. 1.

Shawn Marion is Magic: Can be in two places at one time!
A lot of interesting stuff took place in Philips Arena on Saturday night as not only an NBA game took place but there was an NBA doubleheader: Pat Riley fell to 0-4 in doubleheaders, Shawn Marion technically played and lost for two different teams on the same day, and the Miami Heat are still really ...
Shaq to Phoenix Screws Over Fantasy Managers
Another unbelievable blockbuster went down in the NBA last night. However, it seems that this one makes little sense for either team, except maybe that their star players were simply looking for a change of scenery. It has been reported that the Miami Heat have traded Shaquille O'Neal to the Phoenix ...
Jackson’s Treys Lead Hornets Past Heat
Bobby Jackson made a career-high seven 3-pointers and finished with 25 points, helping the Hornets roll to a 114-88 victory over the hapless Miami Heat on Friday night.
Pat Riley Bends Over During Game
Ok, let's be honest here: does anyone in the entire basketball-watching specie legitimately think that the Miami Heat Oregon State Beavers Miami Heat can actually get past the Elite Eight, let alone the Sweet Sixteen?
If your answer is 'No', I applaud your soberness.
If your answer is 'Yes', please...
Hornets make statement after six-game road trip
The Hornets made a bunch of history with Wednesday's win over the Miami Heat/Iowa Energy NBDL team. They set a franchise mark for the most road wins in one season with 25. They tied a franchise record for second most wins in a season with 52. And Tyson Chandler came one made shot [...]
D-Wade Shuts It Down For All The Wrong Reasons
Looks like the Miami Heat are taking after Bill Belichick when it comes to enduring a tough loss - they’re leaving early.
Coach Pat Riley recently announced that he’ll leave the team to begin scouting talent for the NBA Draft. And today the Heat let it be known that Dywane Wade is taking...
Pinoy Pride: Fil-Am Spoelstra Named as Heat Head Coach
Erik Celino Spoelstra was named as the new head coach of Miami Heat after Pat Riley stepped down. I'm not really familiar with this Spoelstra and I was thrilled to find out that he's a Filipino-American. Spoelstra's mother hails from San Pablo, Laguna and his father is a Dutch-Irish.
If my memory serves me right, I think Erik Spoelstra is the first and only Fil-Am who...
Rock, Chalk, Cavs?
While other GM's were burning the midnight oil making trades for OJ Mayo, Kevin Love, Brandon Rush (!), and Mario Chalmers…Danny Ferry was adding a couple of Jayhawks.
Let's let the press release speak first-
The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired the draft rights to forward Darnell Jackson from the Miami Heat in exchange for the lower of the Cavaliers two second round...
Better luck this time
Like a lot of Detroit Pistons fans I was disappointed by the Playoff results in 2006. We were heavily outscored in Game 6 against Miami Heat in all but the last period, so unlike a lot of people around I am disinclined to berate the lack or purveyance of foul calls by refs. I have a good feeling abou...

Could Curry Interest Riley?
Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune loves making up NBA trade rumors and we love reading them. Today, Sam’s got a pretty juicy one concerning the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks.
According to Smith, Pat Riley is too quiet. Ironic given the mammoth Shaquille O’Neal-for-Shawn Marion trade...
76ers Rumors: Add Nenad Krstic to the Sixers Free Agent List
Yet another name is now popping up on the Sixers free agent radar. I think this will continue to happen as the chances we land Elton Brand continue to die. And ss of right now the Sixers can't completely blow Atlanta out of the market by offering Josh Smith a contract the Hawks can't afford to match, which leaves all the cards still in Atlanta's favor.
Because of that...
