Found October 22, 2012 on Celtics Life:
So a story came out today on ESPN in which Ray Allen admitted that his ankles have not completely healed following surgery last June and that he may require treatment as the season goes forward.  "I still deal with soreness in my ankle that I work through every day," Allen revealed, with just a week to go before the Heat open the season against the C's.  Could be Ray's way of "managing expectations" for both Heat fans and Celtics Nation - which is expected to give him the third degree, come Oct. 30. Could also be Ray's new way of dealing with the trade rumors.  By disclosing this injury, it can't be easy for Pat Riley to trade him now.  Smart move, #34! Ray Allen says it's not his fault he left Boston

Every Celtics fan in Boston has to have January 27 circled on their calendars. That is the day Ray Allen and the Miami Heat come to town for Allen’s first return to the Garden since he left the Celtics. No doubt fans will rest their vocal cords all day for the chance to boo Allen as soon as he steps onto the floor. But the Boston fans probably are not the only ones looking...

Ray Allen Can’t Stop Talking About The Celtics

As I was cruising around the Internet today looking at some of latest news on the Boston Celtics I came across an interesting piece on Ray Allen. Apparently, Allen just can’t get enough of talking about his former team when he is asked about them by the Miami media. One would think at this point [...]

Ray Trying to Convince Himself He Made the Right Choice

Ray Allen sounds like a guy that's trying really, really hard to convince himself that he made the right decision — MrTripleDouble10 (@MrTrpleDouble10) October 22, 2012 I know that the Ray Allen thing has been beaten to death on every Celtics blog and most Heat blogs as well. But the above tweet from the very astute MrTripleDouble10 caught my attention. I think he has hit...

Ray Allen's Green Envy

Ray “Jesus Shuttleworth” Allen has a jones that just won’t go away.  His green obsession has him waxing poetic about 2009, eight days before the 2012-13 season starts. No one on the Celtics have even mentioned Mr. Shuttlesworth since media day.   According to the Miami Herald: Allen said that, at the time, Ainge and Rivers “didn’t get along” with Rondo. “So, I...

Ray Allen Says Celtics Used Him as 'Decoy,' Says He Didn't Get Respect From Team, Rajon Rondo

The cliche storyline of why people don't like the Miami Heat is that the Heat are a collection of big names that banded together to co-opt a championship at the expense of a true team. Ray Allen is helping that narrative pretty well. Allen, who was at first docile in his comments about why he left a Celtics team with which he won a title to be a bench player...

NBA Eastern Conference 2012-13 predicting the Sixers

Sixers will challenge HEAT The defending NBA Champs the Miami Heat with the addition of Ray Allen, have gotten older but still are king of the East. Our Sixers, had a huge off-season turning over their lineup with some big additions. But are those additions enough to knock off the Heat? To date we have not seen the crown jewel of the off-season Andrew Bynum and much rests on his...

Rajon Rondo, Doc Rivers 'Just Going to Let Ray Keep Talking'

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Ray Allen has been busy this week filling in the members of the Miami media about what went down behind the scenes -- in his view, anyway -- during his time with the Celtics. The new member of the Heat told reporters that the Celtics put him in a position where "we had to move" and that they used him mainly as a "decoy" toward the end of...

Heinsohn and Cousy say Celtics should retire #20

Don't think they mean Darren Daye. The Ray Allen stories just won't stop coming. In an article from Fox Sports Florida, legendary Celtics players/broadcasters Tommy Heinsohn and Bob Cousy are quoted as saying the C's should retire Allen's #20. Both cited Ray's contributions to 2008 championship team as the key factor. I've got a feeling the average Boston...
