During a lockout, you do whatever you can to earn a little dough, just as Al Jefferson of the Utah Jazz. In this clip, Al is seen placing a $500 wager with a kid at his basketball camp on whether or not he can hit a certain long-range jump shot. After settling the negotiations, Jefferson immediately nails the J.
Being the gentleman that he is, Al realizes that the kid probably doesn’t have the money and lets him off the hook. Mr. Jefferson makes sure to not only teach his campers b-ball, but also a little something about person finance (and gambling). Lesson learned!
