It’s Kevin Love. Sorry Warriors fans. Dorell Wright did not win. There will be no extra publicity for the Warriors this year. Other than being mentioned for coming in behind Kevin Love and Lamarcus Aldridge.

It’s always nice to see a Warrior win an award and give a small part of the NBA spotlight to the Warriors. Warriors fans should be used to this by now. Very few nationally televised games, 0 all-stars, 0 rookies of the year, 0 most improved players. I am not saying ever I am just talking about lately. It’s been pretty quiet nationally in Oak Town since the Warriors missed the playoffs in 08. This team feels so irrelevant.

Sorry, I got off track for a moment. I don’t believe Wright should have won over Love. However he should have finished a head of Aldridge and closer to Love. Aldridge raised his game, no doubt, but look at the difference in numbers Wright had this year compared to last. Aldridge was already a good player and just took a slight step up. Wright took a good sized jump. This award isn’t given to who the all around better player is. The award is for the player that took the biggest step up from the year before. Love deserves it because he went from good player to beast. Wright should have come in second but because he is a Warrior he got third.
