The Cleveland Cavaliers have been dealt a devastating blow with the loss of Anderson Varejao.
The aggressive center was leading the league in rebounds when he injured his leg in competition against the Toronto Raptors on Dec.18.
Varejao underwent surgery on January 10 to repair the torn leg muscle and has now “developed a blood clot (small right lower lung pulmonary embolism),” according to a statement from the team.
