PLAYERS: Andre Miller
TEAMS: Denver Nuggets
We want our athletes to be totally honest, but can someone be too honest? Andre Miller has been in the NBA a long, and he’s never been good at sugar-coating things anyway, so we should have expected this answer. The Denver Nuggets won 57 games last season, were a juggernaut, and had a coach and executive win the leagues highest honors. Miller was at the NBA Summer League in Vegas, when he was asked about the Nuggets potential for 57 wins again next season. If you listen to Miller around the 4:15 mark, he honestly answers “naw, you know that ain’t gonna happen again.” My question is, was Miller wrong for such an honest answer?

The Denver Nuggets have a much different look heading into the 2013-2014 season. They have lost Andre Iguodala via free agency and the team chose not to give George Karl a contract extension. If not for Jordan Hamilton‘s undergarments, viewers at the Las Vegas summer league might have gotten an in-depth look at Hamilton’s, er, skills. The Nuggets summer leaguer stumbled on a drive to the basket and his shorts somehow slid...
