Pass The Pill:
Toronto’s struggles haven’t been easy on anyone.credit: theepochtimes.com
Simply put, the Toronto Raptors are not very good. They stand at 4-19 in a very competitive Atlantic division that features the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers. So, in other words, don’t look for them to climb up the standings as the season goes on.
They’ve had problem after problem all year long, including a variety of injuries. Their leading scorer from last season, Andrea Bargnani, has struggled mightily.
Due to everything going on, Bargnani went as far as to say that he is depressed about everything that is going on with the team. Via the Toronto Sun:
Bargnani: “I’m very upset that it’s something very bad again (Bargnani missed most of the 2011-12 season due to injuries), kind of depressed,” Bargnani said before lightening up a bit.
“It was a bad fall, could have been worse, could have broke some of my bones, my wrist, so I got lucky in certain ways, but it’s really bad. Bad moment, bad timing, everything.”
Don’t get me wrong, the Raptors are awful. And it must be painful for Bargnani to watch this happen. But using the word depressed to describe something as unimportant in the big scheme of things such as basketball is probably a little drastic.
In 21 games, Andrea Bargnani is averaging 16 points and 4 rebounds on a disappointing 40% from the field.

Raptors center Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely with with a sprained right wrist and a ligament tear in his right elbow, but that didn’t stop him from pretty much trashing his team to the Italian Paper, La Gazzetta, that the Raptors are the “worst team in the NBA.” He also notes he thinks he’ll miss at least three weeks with the team.
Andrea Bargnani to Gazzetta.it: ‘I...
The Toronto Raptors aren't quite ready to begin talking trades. Their hottest chips are not in a position to be traded. Both Andrew Bargnani and Kyle Lowry are battling muscle and ligament tears. Bargnani's is worse than Lowry's but the Raptors are planning to wait for both players to be healthy before discussing trades of any sort.According to Ken Berger of CBS...
In a recent interview interview with David Chinellato of the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Toronto Raptors forward expressed his frustrations with being hurt and the current season he and his team are having. He even went as far as to call the Raptors ‘pretty much the worst team in the NBA.’
From the interview:
You got hurt at a bad time, both for the team and personally...
This is hilarious. Especially with all the trade rumors lingering.
Bargnani has an elbow and wrist injury right now, so during his free time he managed to reveal to an Italian newspaper that…and we quote:
“I will miss at least three weeks. We are the worst team in the NBA” – Andrea Bargnani
The Toronto Raptors games have had some funny video footage lately. First it was Amir Johnson and his ball wrestling with the ref, now it is Kris Humphries almost getting rejected by a ref. See for yourself.

The Raptors entered Friday on a six-game losing streak, having tasted defeat in 12 of their previous 13 games, and without arguably their two best players in Bargnani and Lowry. On paper, this was supposed to be a gimme. in Your Mavs All-Access Pass, it's something else entirely. ...
