A: That is not what the motion said. The motion said that if the union opts to decertify then it could, possibly, nullify the uniform player contract and thereby negate all contracts. It mostly was a hypothetical, and included in the NBA’s motion to create fear of such an eventuality. Considering the union insists decertification is not in its immediate plans, it is a non-issue at this point.
