Charles Barkley celebrates his 50th birthday
Charles Barkley is 50 years-old today.
Barkley, an Alabama native, who attended Auburn University, is a Hall of Fame NBA player, who was drafted first round by the Philadelphia 76ers in 1984. During his career, he also played for the Phoenix Suns and ended his career as a Houston Rocket months after suffering an injury.
He is an NBA All-Star, one-time league MVP, a member of the NBA’s 50 greatest All-Time Team, an Olympic gold-medalist, and an author (I bought his books).
Charles entertains us on a weekly basis during basketball season as an analyst for the NBA on TNT. A job he can probably keep for as long as he wishes to stay.
He has hustled for T Mobile (remember all those commercials?) and now for Weight Watchers, and is the butt of many jokes about his golf game.
And, Chuck is not perfect. He has been controversial with the slip of the tongue here and there, among other issues that I don’t feel compelled to dive in ...

There’s no mention of it that we can find on ESPN.com/NBA. It doesn’t help that The Round Mound of Rebound works for TNT. That usually means your 50th...
Recently, TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley took a trip to Television Studios in Hollywood and stopped by "The Price Is Right".Prior to a taping of the actual show, Charles got the chance to play a pricing game to win cash for the audience. The catch was that each item had something to with Barkley himself and you'll see how he does in the below clip:
Being a little girl growing up in a basketball centric area like Indiana was one of the richest experiences of my life, but like most of the country, and being a short distance away from Chicago, everyone – my sister, my best friends, Joel, Wes, and Timothy, my basketball coach, my composition teacher, heck even [...]The post Happy 50th Birthday, Charles Barkley appeared first...
It’s celebrity week on the The Price Is Right, and what do you know?..Charles Barkley “came on down” to be the next contestant in a game with host, Drew Carey. Barkley had to guess the retail value of a few items from his past, including a “Look Who’s Talking Now” DVD (film he appeared in), Nike Air Max Barkley’s, and pal, Kenny Smith’s, 1988 Fleer basketball card.
Derrick Rose’s brother went off on the Bulls management about not making in trades and Charles Barkley said what everyone else was thinking.
It isn’t unusual for siblings and parents to speak up, but they are doing much more harm than good, so know your role and shut your mouth. You aren’t the star, so stop acting like one.
