Toronto forward-center Andrea Bargnani offered a blunt assessment of the struggling Raptors, telling an Italian newspaper that the club is ''pretty much the worst team in the NBA.''
The first overall pick in the 2006 draft, Bargnani is sidelined because of a torn ligament in his elbow and a strained right wrist. He was injured when he fell awkwardly on a dunk attempt Monday night loss at Portland, and is expected to miss at least three weeks.
The Raptors have lost six straight and 12 of 13. At 4-19 overall, Toronto is ahead of only Washington (3-16) in the NBA standings.
Bargnani told Italy's La Gazzetta Dello Sport that Toronto's start was ''tragic'' and ''a desperate situation.''
Raptors coach Dwane Casey said Friday he intended speak to Bargnani about his remarks, but said he would be ''surprised'' if the comments had not been ''lost in translation.''

Raptors center Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely with with a sprained right wrist and a ligament tear in his right elbow, but that didn’t stop him from pretty much trashing his team to the Italian Paper, La Gazzetta, that the Raptors are the “worst team in the NBA.” He also notes he thinks he’ll miss at least three weeks with the team.

The Toronto Raptors aren't quite ready to begin talking trades. Their hottest chips are not in a position to be traded. Both Andrew Bargnani and Kyle Lowry are battling muscle and ligament tears. Bargnani's is worse than Lowry's but the Raptors are planning to wait for both players to be healthy before discussing trades of any sort.According to Ken Berger of CBS...

Simply put, the Toronto Raptors are not very good. They stand at 4-19 in a very competitive Atlantic division that features the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers. So, in other words, don’t look for them to climb up the standings as the season goes on.
This is hilarious. Especially with all the trade rumors lingering.
Bargnani has an elbow and wrist injury right now, so during his free time he managed to reveal to an Italian newspaper that…and we quote:

Chemistry, on the court and off, isn't something you can force. If you could, every team would do it. It comes naturally sometimes, like the way Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan seemed to click off the hop. But usually, it's as a result of time spent playing together, as with Jose Calderon and Amir Johnson.
Judging from the below alley-oop slam, Toronto Raptors rookie Terrence Ross might be quickly becoming the new "Air Canada".
During Friday night's Dallas Mavericks/Toronto Raptors game, watch as teammate Demar DeRozen finds Ross for the remarkable slam:

The Raptors entered Friday on a six-game losing streak, having tasted defeat in 12 of their previous 13 games, and without arguably their two best players in Bargnani and Lowry. On paper, this was supposed to be a gimme. in Your Mavs All-Access Pass, it's something else entirely. ...
