The San Antonio Spurs have recalled Aron Baynes from the Austin Toros.
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled center Aron Baynes from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League. (Spurs.com)
The Australian native has played in 12 games with the Spurs this season since being signed on Jan. 23, averaging 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.6 minutes.
This is after the team got some bad news on Boris Diaw's injury from Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Spurs forward Boris Diaw (lumbar facet sprain) is listed as out for Wednesday's game vs. Denver. Tony Parker (sore neck) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game.
With Diaw being out and Tim Duncan likely looking to have limited minutes heading into the postseason, Baynes being recalled shouldn't be too much of a shock to Spurs fans. Tony Parker's injury status is still up in the air as the Spurs haven't reported too much on his neck nor have given any information on his shin injury from the past few games.
Seems the Spurs are limping into the playoffs but does it make you concerned Spurs fans?
BEST OF MAXIM
Boris Diaw may be a little behind the proverbial eight-ball meme, but the man did put in a pretty great effort. It may be early and I’ve only have a half of a cup of coffee but I’m not sure how he actually was able to make the little pieces move, unless he really spent a long time on this. Now that I said that it actually does make sense, that is why he is just dropping the...
As expected, the San Antonio Spurs ruled guard Tony Parkerout for Saturday’s contest against the Atlanta Hawks. Parker has been dealing with various injuries throughout the season, but the Spurs announced that his neck ailment is what caused him to miss last night’s game.San Antonio considers Parker day-to-day with multiple injuries – including to his neck, finger, ankle,...
The Harlem Shake craze took over the NBA this season with teams doing their versions of the craze and it appears San Antonio Spurs' Boris Diaw got in the act. However, Diaw's version of the Harlem Shake was quite different.
Diaw got creative with his video skills and made the "Lego Shake." The great news for San Antonio Spurs is that he's not trying trying...
The Harlem Shake craze has come and gone in the internet world, but the latest video produced by San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw may just do well in keeping the craze alive.Diaw, along with Babac Films, allegedly endulged in 10 hours of drinking coffee to create this animated clip, which stars a plethora of Lego pieces. Yes, Lego pieces of all things. It actually turned out to...
Tony Parker sat out the Spurs' game against Atlanta on Saturday with a sore neck.
Nando De Colo, a 25-year-old rookie from France, is making his fifth start in place of Parker.
Parker left two minutes into the fourth quarter of San Antonio's 100-88 loss at the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night after experiencing pain in his left shin. Spurs officials said his absence...
The Harlem Shake took over the NBA this season with teams such as the Miami Heat, Timberwolves and a bevy of other teams getting in the act.
All try to put their own spin on the dance craze but Spurs' Boris Diaw just took it to a whole other level using a stop-motion, Lego-created, Harlem Shake video or should I say the "Lego Shake."
From Spongebob Squarepants...
On his TP Show on RMC Sport recently, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker took a look out East and commented on the New York Knicks who are on a 13-game winning streak.
While Parker and the Spurs wouldn't have a chance to play the Knicks again unless both teams made it to the playoffs, Parker says he can see the Knicks make a run to the conference finals.
The San Antonio Spurs’ Boris Diaw must love Legos, because his new production company Babac Films’ first video is a bunch of Lego characters busting out their version of the Harlem Shake. This is actually better than pretty much every single Harlem Shake video ever made, even though it looks like something that a 15-year-old that normally playing Dungeons and Dragons would make. This isn't good news as the Spurs are getting closer to the playoffs and will need every healthy body they can get.
The San Antonio Spurs have been without one-third of their "Big 3" as Manu Ginobili has been dealing with a hamstring injury which has him shelved for four weeks which has him making his return the the court until the playoffs.
During his radio show in France, his teammate, Tony Parker, stated (via French site RMC Sport) that Ginobili's goal is to come back before...

As the NBA season enters its final full week, writers across the country will begin to fill out their award ballots. This morning, CBS’ Matt Moore was trying to figure out his MVP top five. Moore has LeBron James and Kevin Durant, but after that it’s chaos.
Trying to decide on the other three in the top five of MVP behind LeBron & KD is just brutal. CP3, Melo...
The undermanned Spurs team, playing without Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, were able to grind out a win over an even more undermanned Hawks team without Josh Smith, Devin Harris, Kyle Korver and Al Horford and DeShawn Stevenson. But, the 2-point victory didn’t sit well with coach Popovich who called the win “pathetic.”
According to ESPN:
“In general, other than Timmy, in...
