PHOENIX Steve Nash left a loser in his return to Phoenix. The Phoenix Suns, down 13 points in the third quarter, chipped away at the lead, helped by the fumble-fingered Lakers, then pulled the game out at the end with a 92-86 win Wednesday night at U.S. Airways Center. Michael Beasley broke an 86-86 tie with a driving layup with 44 seconds left. Then Kobe Bryant missed on a drive of his own. The Suns (16-30) hit their free throws to seal it. The Lakers (20-26), who committed 20 turnovers, saw their modest three-game win streak broken while extending their road losing skid to eight. Nash's game wasn't the same as when he played with the Suns. Bryant, his Los Angeles Lakers' teammate, continued to do much of the ball distribution in the Lakers' loss. Bryant had 17 points and nine assists. Nash had 11 points and two assists. Nash, asked if he should do more of the ball-handling, said, "I think I can help. Those are thing we still need to work out. &qu...

Phoenix Suns Tribute Video To Steve Nash

The Phoenix Suns showed this tribute highlight reel video set to “I’m Coming Home” during the win over the Lakers and Steve Nash’s first trip back to the US Airways Center:

Suns retro jerseys should be their permanent jerseys

Last night the Phoenix Suns spoiled Steve Nash's return to the place he called home for the better part of the last decade by storming back behind the crazy hair and shot making of Michael Beasley. That's not the most important thing that came out of the Suns' victory. What's most important is that after years of suffering through the ugliest uniforms in professional...

Suns rally, beat Lakers in Nash's homecoming

PHOENIX Nashapalooza, which is a huge betting favorite to rank as the most memorable event of this Phoenix Suns season, turned out to be a dramatic salvo with many engaging characters. The biggest role, of course, was handed to former Suns superstar point guard Steve Nash, who showed up Wednesday night for his old teams retro Back In Black jersey event in the yellow work clothes...

The Starting Lineup: Super Cool Of You To Beat The Lakers, Michael Beasley

Super cool Lakers game, huh? On a serious note, this game kind of reminded me of their win over the Hornets, except of course they lost.  As they did against the Hornets, the Lakers moved the ball extremely well with Kobe (nine assists) being the primary facilitator.  Like the Hornets, the Suns struggled through some extensive field-goal droughts during which they simply couldn’t...

Lakers fall in Nash's return to Phoenix

PHOENIX (AP) -- Michael Beasley scored a season-high 27 points and the Phoenix Suns rallied from 13 down in the fourth quarter to hand the Los Angeles Lakers their eighth straight road loss 92-86 on Wednesday night. The dramatic comeback came in Steve Nash's first game in Phoenix since he left for the Lakers after last season. The Lakers, who had won three straight -- all at...

Emotions torn as Nash returns to Phoenix

Prodigal Sun or Point Guard Non Grata? Applause or boos? Steve Nash returns to Phoenix on Wednesday night for the first time as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers -- the uncomfortable convergence of the player who Suns' fans most loved with the team they most love to hate. It's no ordinary homecoming -- as you might have noticed from the 75 price tag placed on the cheapest...

Pau Gasol pissed again over benching

The Los Angeles Lakers won their third-straight game on Tuesday by beating the New Orleans Hornets 111-106, but one of their key players is once again upset he was benched.

Lakers squander 13-point lead in 4th

Michael Beasley scored a season-high 27 points and the Phoenix Suns rallied from 13 down in the fourth quarter to hand the Los Angeles Lakers their eighth straight road loss 92-86 on Wednesday night. The dramatic comeback came in Steve Nash's first game in Phoenix since he left for the Lakers after last season. The Lakers, who had won three straight - all at home, lost Dwight...

Lakers nearly waste good work vs Hornets

LOS ANGELES -- The Lakers won their third in a row, beating the New Orleans Hornets, 111-106. There's no arguing that this a much better Laker team than it was just six days ago, with Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash switching roles and Dwight Howard playing with a renewed enthusiasm. However, it also can't be argued that this team still has quite a ways to go in order to turn...
