“Yao Ming being adorable” is up near the top of the things With Leather loves most, somewhere between Phillie Phanatic human interest stories and Kate Upton outtakes. And while nothing could ever replace Yao Ming holding a panda in our hearts, the Yao Ming golf swing is coming awfully close.Everything about it is beautiful. The swing itself. The way he just stares at the ball after he misses it, then holds his hand out like he can’t believe what the ball just did. The plainly-stated YouTube description, with an explanation for what’s happening:Yao starts a new career in golf in his retirement. He is so tall and it is a little hard for him to play well in golf. The helpful advice from the 30,000 people in his on-course entourage. His sad little blooper shot when he finally makes contact. It’s the first golf video I’ve ever wanted to hug.I hope his friend’s advice was, “try playing a sport where the ball isn’t so close to the ground”.[h/t to Shane Bacon at CBS Sports]The post Beh...

Yao Ming was a hard worker when he played in the NBA, but really, how tough is it score when you're 7-foot-6?
While Yao enjoyed being able to just turn and plunk the ball into the basket in his sport of choice, he has found recreational athletics to be a bit more challenging now that he's retired.
Yao joined some celebrities at the Mission Hills World Celebrity...
CREDIT: EUGENE HOSHIKO/APYao Ming seems to be enjoying his retirement, though it seems like his golf game still needs a little bit of work. The below video shows Yao attempting to hit a wedge, which I assume is one of the largest clubs known to man. Yao misses the ball completely on his first attempt and follows that up with a relatively straight but very short wedge. I would...
With Yao Ming now happily-retired, he can spend the rest of his life chilling with his millions of dollars. He also can be like most retired athletes and get into the golf game.
Apparently, not everyone is good at it. We have learned that from a lot of people, such as Charles Barkley or Chris Webber. For Ming, he isn’t exactly so great either.
But man, he was fun to watch...
Former NBA Center Yao Ming tries to start a new career in golf during his post NBA retirement. He’s so tall that it’s probably a little difficult for him to excel at a sport like golf…My advice would be to keep your head up and swing hard Yao.-TO

The Business of Yao Ming is Big
Did the owner of the Houston Rockets push management into the signing of Jeremy Lin? Rumors out of Houston say yes. I hate to say it, but Lin is completely overrated as an NBA player and not worth the huge payday he received. I believe this deal will turn out to be one of the least valuable in recent years. Maybe that is kind of harsh, but I can’t help what I feel. NY made a intellectual...
Video: Completely misses the golf ball
Move over Charles Barkley, you have company as the NBA’s worst golfer. Yao Ming shows us he wants a shot at the crown.
Royce White will be using a rented RV for his first road trip with the Houston Rockets; he was given permission by the league — due to his anxiety order and fear of flying — to be allowed other forms of transportation to get to drivable away games. In this case, White will be bussed, [...]The post Royce White Will Travel By RV to New Orleans, Orlando appeared first on The NBA Mistress.
The Houston Rockets barely missed the 2012 NBA Playoffs, but then gutted their roster when it came to the off-season; however, how does their 2012-2013 season preview look? Drafted Players: Terrence Jones, Royce White, Jeremy Lamb Key Additions: Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik, Toney Douglas, Carlos Delfino Key Subtractions: Kyle Lowry, Luis Scola, Goran Dragic, Marcus Camby, Courtney Lee...
Believe it or not, the NBA's regular season is two weeks away. To get you ready, Crossover Chronicles will be profiling a team each day for the next few weeks. This week is the Southwest Division. Today is the Houston Rockets.
2011-12 Record: 34-32
Key Losses: Luis Scola (signed with Phoenix), Kyle Lowry (traded to Toronto), Goran Dragic (signed with Phoenix)
What might have been the last thing the San Antonio Spurs and David Robinson should have done when presenting "The Admiral" with the 1995 NBA MVP award? Having the ceremony right before Game 1 of the 1995 Western Conference playoffs in front of Houston Rockets' Hakeem Olajuwon.
Olajuwon used that award presentation as motivation to completely and utterly destroy Robinson...
