Forget about action that took place on a field or a court this weekend. We’ve got the sports highlight of July here for you. It also happens to be the best assist you may see all season long.
I can’t say we’ve got background on this clip beyond the visual evidence, but you could not create this scene any better if you scripted and staged this one better than it it had been right from central casting (which it is).
Snyopsis: California dudes traveling down a freeway. They notice they’re riding along a car with Steve Nash, the newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
DUUUUDE!!! Steve Nash!!!!
Everyone together now: “NASH!!!!”
“Brah, we should totally beer him.”
“Yea, dude. Hook up Nash with a brewski. Naaaaasssh!!!”
“Slow down the car.”
And then it happens. From a moving vehicle. Out the window. From one righteous dude to another. A perfect pass of one ice, cold Keystone Light.
Maybe it’s just a Sunday night, and I’m getting more easily entertained than usual. But this is phenomenal on so many levels. If I’m the marketing folks at Keystone Light, you can damn well bet I’m starting to put together story boards for my next commercial. I know one guy who would appreciate the smoooothness of that Keystone connection.
The newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers, Steve Nash, expressed his thanks to some fans who were kind enough to hand him a beer while driving at full speed down a California freeway. The fans were driving in a Yukon XL and recognized Steve Nash in the back seat of his vehicle. They shouted his name and, as both vehicles continued to speed down the highway, got close enough...
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Lakers fans are somewhat gay (relax, they’re excited) about two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Steve Nash getting traded to Los Angeles. He was acquired through a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns on July 11.
So how are fans showing their support to Nash, who has yet to sport the purple and gold? They’re handing him beer while...
If this video is any indication, Steve Nash‘s tenure in Los Angeles is getting off to a glorious start. Here he is cruising along on a freeway in L.A. and being handed a brewski from some (drunk?) bro patrol in a completely different vehicle, all while video taping it, too. Sounds totally safe and practical to me.
And of course it was a Keystone Light. Because nothing quite says...
Steve Nash and some Los Angeles surfer dudes inadvertently just made the greatest Keystone Light beer commercial EVER!
Yeah, that just happened. Steve Nash posted a video of himself riding in the backseat of a cab down an L.A. freeway when a group of surfer dudes pulled up next to him an offered him a delicious Keystone Light. Nash couldn’t resist this generous offer and...
Which beer maker want’s to sponsor these people? A group of California kids apparently recognized new Laker, Steve Nash, driving down the freeway. Instead of just screaming, “Steve, hey, Steve!” they yelled “Steve, take the beer.”
Keystone Light needs to hire these guys to drive down the freeway and pass out beers as celebrities drive by. We can call them the “celebrity...
Luckily for sports fans, the NBA free agency period has created a lot of excitement and buzz in a time when baseball is the only sport in season. There have been many crazy moves, even though we haven’t even seen how the Dwight Howard situation will play out.
With players now able to officially sign offer sheets, expect the madness to continue as several GMs will have to make several...
LA basketball fans are passionate about the Lakers. Want to see a real live example of that passion? Check out this video of newly minted Laker Steve Nash as he encounters a few fans on the freeway that just want to express their happiness that he’s now crew and share a beer! How cool [...]
Normally Steve Nash is the guy in charge of driving and dishing, but watch as these Laker fans hand the newly-signed guard a beer on the highway! As much as I cringe at the damage the Lakers can deal...

Steve Nash's arrival added some much-needed tranquillity for the Lakers.
But it remains to be seen whether that settled feeling will just become the calm before the storm. Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak expressed doubts the front office could hit another "home run," but he made it clear "our roster is not complete."
For Pau Gasol, that means he won...
The Phoenix Suns are undergoing a drastic facelift. Actually, they’re going with the facelift, tummy tuck, liposuction on the arms and throwing in a boob job. After letting their 2-time MVP point guard Steve Nash go to the Lakers, the Suns have been throwing around money to bring in some replacements.
They’ve already signed Michael Beasley and Goran Dragic. They lost the contest...
ROCKETMANThe pursuit of Steve Nash did show that the Knicks have big doubts about Lin’s ability to guide them in the short term with the win-now cast of characters in place. 25 million for a future D-league off the bench PG is absurd. Yell, Cry, stomp your feet but LIN is History in the archives of the New York Knicks. They will not match Houston's offer despite the...
