PLAYERS: David Stern
TEAMS: San Antonio Spurs
Thursday night, was not only San Antonio Spurs’ 26 point victory statement to the rest of the league, it was also the first communication complication between two best friends. Blake and DeAndre are the closest as teammates could get. These two know everything about each other. There are even sufficient scientific evidence to prove that their hearts share the same beat. For something this awkward to happen between these brothers from different mothers, there must have been an off-set in their chemistry. Maybe it was just a 17 point lead given to their opponent, or it could be just a tribute to one of the greatest moments in NBA history. Where Kevin Love and Wesley Johnson will be forever immortalized for never completing their handshake. Which also happened earlier in the season to the duo of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Must be some sort of new NBA protocol to test friendships. Curses, David Stern. Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

Our Prayers For Stephen Jackson And His Wife

Terrible way to start my day.  Browsing the internet for good, interesting and hopefully happy NBA stories and I came across Stephen Jackson and his wife's sad story about having a miscarriage. This comes from Spurs Nation by Mike Monroe: Returning to the game he loves and the team he considers family, Spurs swingman Stephen Jackson suited up Thursday for the first time...

Spurs' Jackson back after losing unborn child

It is popular to say that basketball is a sanctuary, and whether you've played in the NBA finals or you've merely tickled the chain links by yourself after sundown, you can relate to the sentiment. But not many understand what that must now mean to Stephen Jackson. The veteran San Antonio Spurs guard returned Thursday night after taking 10 days away from the team. He and...

Video: Cory Joseph's big game vs. Iowa Energy

It wasn't just a big night for Cory Joseph, it was a very impressive night for the Austin Toros point guard and assignee for the San Antonio Spurs. Joseph had a career game with 27 points, 10 assists, and 3 steals against the Iowa Energy. Joseph started strong by contributing 25 of his 27 points in the first half with 5 assists. The Austin Toros starting point guard cooled...

Blair's agent 'disappointed' deal wasn't made

Yesterday was the NBA’s trade deadline and it was a relatively disappointing day for those wanting to see some big moves. There were talks up until the final seconds about swapping players but ultimately only a few deals were done. DeJuan Blair was one of those players who thought he might be on a new team after the deadline, but ultimately the San Antonio Spurs couldn’t...

Tony Parker won't play Sunday due to a right triceps contusion

A right triceps contusion will sideline Tony Parker for Sunday's game with the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs released the information Saturday on its Twitter account. Gary Neal is also questionable for the game due to tightness in his left calf. Nando De Colo, who hasn't done much of anything, could get some extra playing time but isn't worth a look in anything but deep...

Video: Duncan passes Parish on NBA scoring list

San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan finished with 19 points last night versus the Warriors and it was good enough for him to pass former player Robert Parish on the NBA All-Time points leader list. Duncan is now in 23rd place on the list with 23,350 points (Parish had 23,334 points) and is now trailing Miami's Ray Allen with 23,479 points and counting. Relive Duncan'...

Kobe says he doesn't fear the Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs own the best record in the NBA, sit atop the Western Conference, have a legit MVP candidate (Tony Parker) and are looking like a well-oiled machine that will once again be challenging for the NBA crown. The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling all season. Dwight Howard isn't meshing with the team, is dealing with injuries and struggling to produce...

Mills, Leonard lead balanced Spurs past Suns

PHOENIX (AP) -- Tony Parker took the night off with a sore right triceps. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were far from their best. Yet, even at the end of a long, long road trip, the San Antonio Spurs still had plenty to handle the Phoenix Suns in a 97-87 victory on Sunday night. Patty Mills and Kawhi Leonard scored 16 points apiece to lead six players in double figures and the Spurs...

Spurs stand pat at trade deadline for stretch run

Despite being linked to every big name available in the trade market, the San Antonio Spurs stood pat during the trade deadline. The team was linked to Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, and most recently J.J. Redick, but there's also reports coming out that San Antonio expressed interest in Jason Maxiell from the Detroit Pistons. The San Antonio Spurs also inquired about...

Even short-handed, Spurs too much for Suns

PHOENIX (AP) -- Tony Parker took the night off with a sore right triceps. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were far from their best. State of the team: Spurs gaining momentum

The San Antonio Spurs destroyed the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night. You might say it was just like old times. The thing is, when talking about the Spurs and saying it feels like "old times," you have to clarify whether you're referring to the past or the age of the Spurs roster. Manu Ginobili said it felt like old times Wednesday, when he, Tim Duncan and Tony...

After having defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in dominating fashion on Thursday night, the San Antonio Spurs didn’t have the same type of outcome against the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
