LaMarcus Aldridge had 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 110-99 win against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night. Aldridge was 12 for 15 from the floor and 6 for 6 from the free-throw line. He has scored more than 20 points in three straight games. Jamal Crawford scored 23 off the bench and Raymond Felton added 21 - 10 in the fourth quarter - for the Trail Blazers, who snapped a four-game road losing streak. John Wall had 25 points and eight assists, JaVale McGee scored 15 points and Chris Singleton added 12 for Washington. The Wizards were coming off a 106-101 win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, but again failed to start a winning streak. Washington has only won consecutive games once this season. Portland started its seven-game road trip with two losses, including a 104-86 defeat at Boston on Friday night. In addition to trying to stop their road woes, the Trail Blazers also came in looking for a measure of revenge for a 124-109 home loss to Washington on Feb. 14. ''There's a lot of motivation for this game,'' Portland coach Nate McMillan said before the contest. Although the Trail Blazers never trailed after the first quarter, they didn't pull away from the Wizards until late. The teams were tied at 27 after the first quarter. Portland led by seven in the second and had a 55-52 edge at halftime, although Washington tied the score at 58-58 early in the third. Portland slowly rebuilt the lead throughout the quarter to eight, and led 82-76 at the start of the fourth. The Blazers finally wore down Washington in the fourth. Gerald Wallace's layup with 2:49 left gave Portland their largest lead of the game, 106-93. After two baskets by the Wizards, Crawford's three-pointer with 1:19 gave the Trail Blazers a 109-97 lead and sealed the win. NOTES: Trail Blazers C Marcus Camby was called for a flagrant 2 and ejected after getting tangled up with Wizards F Kevin Seraphin as they fought for a rebound late in the second quarter. Camby shoved Seraphin to the ground, and Seraphin got up and pushed Camby in the chest before the two were separated. Seraphin was also given a technical on the play. ... The Wizards were whistled for three defensive 3-second violation technical fouls. ... The Trail Blazers were a season-best 26 of 27 from the free-throw line.

Nate McMillian’s days in Portland may be numbered

The Portland Trail Blazers have had a tremendously disappointing season thus far. With pressure mounting on the team and it’s players, the blame will likely (as it often does) land squarely on the shoulders of head coach, Nate McMillan. The Blazers currently hold an abysmal record of just 19-21. That’s good enough for 5th place in the Northwest division (behind Utah and Minnesota...

VIDEO: Marcus Camby’s pass off the backboard to no one astounds even him

With plays like that it’s hard to believe the Trail Blazers lost to the Celtics 104-86.  Wait, no it’s not. Note to Marcus Camby—if you’re going to toss up a lob pass, make sure someone’s there to receive it.  Without that all important receiver on the other end your lob pass will end up being turnover No.14 on the night, a terrifically bad turnover at that, and all...

Marcus Camby Throws "Ah Sh*t" Pass Off The Backboard

This was either miscommunication, or mental retardation.  Last night, Marcus Camby launched an errant alley oop pass that simply ricochets off of the backboard for a Celtics rebound, and led to a Sasha Pavlovic 3 point play.  Incase you were wondering, the Celtics beat the snot out of the Blazers 104-86.

Scouting the Wizards: Wall, Young will be priority for Spurs’ defense

After the San Antonio Spurs (26-13) went into the NBA All-Star break on such a high note, the Spurs have been struggling since. They’re 2-3 since the break, have dropped three home games (15-4) in less than two weeks, and are 6-4 in their last 10 games overall. The Spurs will be glad to welcome back All-Star point guard Tony Parker as he returns from a minor injury that sidelined...
