Two of the best players in the NBA had embarrassing bloopers last night.
Although the Miami Heat crushed the Brooklyn Nets and LeBron James had a monster game; I am sure his teammates got on him for his missed dunk attempt.
The Lakers are 1-4 but more embarrassing last night was Dwight Howard’s free throw. He air balled it. How do you shoot an air ball when you are a pro and have been to the line a million times in your basketball career?

BEST OF MAXIM
Never had a chance.
There’s something inherently funny about watching a professional basketball player airball a free throw. I mean, it’s arguably the easiest shot to make in the game of basketball, and it’s a skill these guys have been practicing their entire career, except maybe for Shaquille O’Neal...
The NBA recently changed it’s form for the All-Star ballot by removing the “Center” position from the choices. It’s now just two guards and three FRONT COURT players. Now, this may just seem like a technicality, because in today’s NBA you have individual players rotating at multiple positions. But nevertheless, Dwight Howard doesn’t appreciate the alterations, regardless...
Skip Bayless will soon appear on Awful Announcing's Mount Rushmore to commemorate his "visceral unctousness" as Erik Malinowski so expertly put it in this guest column. For Bayless to gain almost 50% of Tuesday's vote against the likes of Chris Berman, Craig James (yes, that Craig James), and Matt Millen is a testament to his unique brand of corrupted punditry...
Okay. There is quite a bit more to this story but I love when Rajon Rondo talks trash, especially agains The Boston Celtics point guard sat down with Mut and Merloni of WEEI and discussed a variety of topics. Rondo talked about the Celtics slow start and the new guys getting acclimated. Rondo also discusses his [...]
Is it wrong that I want the Lakers to hire Stan van Gundy just so that Dwight Howard learns that you can't screw over a coach who's actually better than you?

The front offices of the Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets conversed plenty during the Dwight Howard saga that lasted into August, though a trade agreement never was reached.
Each new-look squad is still finding its footing without him, but Orlando hopes the recent on-court history between the clubs remains in its favor.
The Magic seek...
The NBA was all in on Tuesday night as America awaited the results of the Presidential election. Check out Tweets from a few of your favorite jocks on election night. Kris Humphries was punked by his cab driver into thinking Mitt Romney won, LeBron James shouts out his favorite states that supported President Obama (Florida [...]
Dwyane Wade scored 22 points on 10 for 14 shooting, LeBron James finished two assists shy of a triple-double and the Miami Heat improved to 4-0 at home for the first time in franchise history by beating the Brooklyn Nets 103-73 on Wednesday night.
James had 20 points and 12 rebounds in only 30 minutes, and Rashard Lewis scored 13 points for the Heat (4-1). Miami - which plays its...
Earlier in the week on That NBA Lottery Pick, we posted a clip of Lakers center Dwight Howard airballing a free throw against the Utah Jazz.I personally thought that it would be the worst free throw of the year but Golden State's Andris Biedrins will take that award.Watch as he misses this free throw in the first quarter against the Lakers last night:
Embattled Laker Coach Brown is Out After Five Games Mike Brown has been fired as the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers according to a post on the USA Today’s online website. The Lakers came into the season with high expectations following the additions of Steve Nash and Dwight Howard but after a winless preseason, have [...]
While the Miami Heat are known for their offensive prowess, they're proving mighty stingy on the defensive end, too.
The Atlanta Hawks know all too well how hard it can be to generate offense against the defending NBA champions.
Seeking a fourth consecutive win overall, the Heat try for a sixth straight road victory over the Hawks on Friday night.
The Heat (4-1) are coming...
The Brooklyn Nets (1-1) will make a trip to Florida to face the Miami Heat (3-1) for an Eastern Conference showdown. However, it will be a tall task for the Nets to leave South Beach with a win as Miami is undefeated at home early in the season. Not to mention the Nets have lost six in a row in Miami.
Miami is coming off a 124-99 win over Phoenix while Brooklyn is coming off a...
