Allen proving doubters wrong with longevity

If Ray Allen ever has an infomercial touting his workout secrets, it wouldn't be a surprise if LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are quickly on the phone to those operators standing by. The Miami stars have been observing Allen for years, and they're continually amazed at what they've seen. The Boston shooting guard is 36 but hardly seems to have lost anything. Allen is...

Rondo's triple double lead Celtics past Wizards

Yahoo Happy New Year to all Celtic fans as the team carries over the success against the Pistons into Washington where they beat the Wizards 94-86. Washington is still looking for their first win of the season. The Wizards are led by John Wall who is not having the most successful start to his sophomore campaign with only 13 points and 6 assists per game. ...

Comments From the Other Side - Wizards 1/2

During the last game, there were a lot of good comments about Rondo. This game, they are loving on Ray. However, KG gets the same hate in both threads. There's also a lot of complaints about the refs in both threads. Some things never change. I love how fans always ask who left Ray Allen open. No one leaves Ray Allen open. They just get tired from chasing him and slow...

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball: Former Cats in the NBA 1/2 Edition

VIDEO: Cabernet Ray Uncorks Vintage Shooting Performance vs Wizards

It's not supposed to happen this way.  Shooters are supposed to wilt and die a quick NBA death once the legs give out and the jump shot becomes flat.  Ray Allen refuses to accept such a fate and with each passing moment, he truly is like a fine wine: he's getting better with age.  Maybe it's a nice merlot or perhaps it's a meritage blend of his preparation, nutrition...

Celtics 100, Wizards 92: Stiemsma, Allen lead third straight Celtics win against another miserable team

The Boston Celtics have returned to .500. Greg Stiemsma looks like a legitimate backup center (although he started this affair). The Washington Wizards are not good. Boston spent three quarters treading water but applied a finishing kick that left the Wizards in their wake, giving way to a 100-92 victory.Including work, I’ve been writing more or less consecutively since 9 a...

Allen heats up in 4th to lead Celtics over Wizards

It was vintage Ray Allen. The ball swings from one side of the floor to the other and the NBA's all-time 3-point king comes around a pick or two before stepping up and nailing a jumper.

Rajon Rondo Playing Better Than Ever Thanks to Noticeable Improvement in Point Guard's Jumper

Maybe it was President Barack Obama's gentle ribbing about his jump shot. Perhaps it was simply the time it took to get over the loss of teammate and close friend Kendrick Perkins. Or could it be something much more simple? Like more hard work and growing maturity. Whatever it is, Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has reached new heights. Statistically, he's more freakish than...

Ray Allen Looking for Multi-Year Deal With Boston Celtics

36-year old Ray Allen is once again proving that age is nothing but a number (for him, anyway), and clearly thinks he has a few more productive years remaining in the NBA. Allen hopes those years will be spent in Beantown, according to Fox Sports: “Ray Allen, a free agent after the season, hopes to re-sign with Boston and get another multi-year deal: ‘Yeah. That’...
