The Boston Celtics are the leading candidate to acquire the rights to University of Oklahoma's Romero Osby who is finalizing a deal to sign in the NBA D-League according to realgm.com:
Fort Wayne currently owns rights to Osby, but the Celtics’ D-League affiliate – the Maine Red Claws – are working to acquire the 23-year-old.
The Celtics have one roster spot open and could call up Osby at a point that is flexible on the team’s salary situation.
Osby averaged 16 points and seven rebounds last season at the University of Oklahoma. He was part of the Magic’s summer league team and became one of the last rookie signings to officially join his drafted organization.
In seven preseason games for the Magic, Osby averaged 5.7 points and four rebounds in 15.4 minutes a game.
I really like this acquisition if Osby's college career is any indication. Osby started out at Mississippi State and in his first two years averaged barely over 4 points a game for The Bulldogs.

Last year, they ran Doc Rivers' system so that when a player was called up, they were familiar with the plays that were being run by the parent club. I imagine they will install...
Ok, so the Celtics lost their first game. Get comfortable, Celtic fandom, because there will be plenty of room once the bandwagoners jump off. I realized last night that I really like this team. Just as I really liked that 2006-07 team that lost 18 games in a row. They were fun to watch and they played hard but they were young and inexperienced. That team also had a...
