Win or lose, at the end of this game I couldn’t help but be proud of my beloved Cavaliers. Without Kyrie Irving, they were competing with the reigning NBA Champs on their home court — although, the advantage isn’t really a notable one. But yet, a loss like this still hurts. The most prolific three-point shooter in NBA history, Ray Allen, made the game-winner, Dwyane Wade was all over Jeremy Pargo on the Cavs’ next possession and despite then having 0.6 seconds left, the Cavs couldn’t even get off a final shot attempt. Lots of positives, again, though. The Cavs shot 10-for-19 from threes in the first half, Pargo finished with 16 points and 7 assists, and Omri Casspi had his best game of the season with 15 points and 4 threes. Can’t hang your head too much about this late loss without your best closer. Cavaliers Film Room: Defense Begins at the Point

In this Cavaliers film room session, we’ll break down the Cavaliers’ defense, focusing on what happens when the opposing team’s point guard gets into the paint. Over the first eight games of the season, the defense was atrocious. Starring in that atrocity was star point guard Kyrie Irving’s sieve-like qualities when it comes to staying in front of his man, fighting through...

Losing stinks, but let's give Cavs some credit

Random thoughts on the Cavaliers 108-104 loss at Orlando on Friday: If you want perfection from Dion Waiters or the Cavs, youd better grow up. Because Waiters and the Cavs still have to do it themselves. But this game showed a lot of things -- namely, that Waiters has loads of potential and when hes on, the Cavs have a fighting chance. Does Waiters have to mature, basketball...

Glen 'Big Baby' Davis Goes Flying Into the Stands Vs. Cleveland (Video)

Check out Orlando big man Glen 'Big Baby' Davis as he goes flying into the stands against the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday, colliding with some of the Magic fans for a court side disaster! It looks like he takes out a nice couple in the third row who seem to be fine after the carnage is finally cleared out.  Not a bad jump by the big man.  Maybe next time he will make...

Balanced Cavs Go Toe-to-Toe with Miami, Unravel Late

On a back-to-back, against the class of the NBA, without their star point guard, I wasn’t expecting much out of the Cavaliers last night in Miami. But, the Cavaliers gave viewers one of the most entertaining games of the season as they caught fire from behind the arc in the first half and had their most balanced scoring of the season with seven players reaching double figures....

Irritating losses norm for progressing Cavs

If the Cavaliers are still losing games like this in February, well, then Ill be mad. OK, lets not kid ourselves. The Cavs 110-108 collapse at Miami on Saturday was indeed maddening. So was their four-point loss at Orlando the previous night. Thats two games in Florida, two losses, and by total of six points. And while were on the topic of numbers dont even get me started on...

Cavaliers (3-10) at Grizzlies (9-2) - Game 14

OPENING TIP Eventually, the Cavaliers will get to play some scrubs -- at home. Honest. There will be a team when the NBA's bottom-feeders will have to visit The Q, and the Cavs will receive an opportunity to feast upon them. That's just the way it goes in this league. Everybody has to play everybody else on the road. So far, the Cavs have not had that luxury. Instead...

Box Score: Magic 108, Cavaliers 104

Dwight Howard’s gone, but the Cavaliers’ funk against the Magic lives on. The wine and gold dropped their 10th straight game against Orlando, and despite a 25-point effort from Dion Waiters, lost to Orlando 108-104 in Amway Center. The Cavs got solid contributions from Anderson Varejao (19 points, 17 rebounds), Jeremy Pargo (15 points on 7-of-14 shooting), and Tyler Zeller (13...

Cavaliers at Magic game preview

Game time: Friday at 7 p.m. ET TV: FOX Sports Florida However unlikely, Jeremy Pargo is trying to continue softening the blow of a major absence for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Orlando Magic are just looking for some consistency. Pargo looks to build on the best performance of his career and help the visiting Cavaliers beat the Magic for the first time in 10 tries Friday night...

Canton Charge set initial roster, begin season at home tonight

The Canton Charge, the exclusively owned and operated D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers, begin their season tonight at home at the Memorial Civic Center. With opening-day on the mind, the Charge and the Cavaliers officially announced the team’s initial roster with a few last-minute changes. Here’s a look at the team as listed by position, name, age and university: G Kevin Anderson...

Cleveland Cavaliers End Latest Road Trip in Memphis Tonight

The Cleveland Cavaliers had an interesting Thanksgiving weekend. Last Wednesday they got things started with a big win at home against Philadelphia to end their losing streak. Jeremy Pargo had an absolutely insane breakout game in filling in for Kyrie Irving. Unfortunately, the Cavaliers had to follow that up with another road trip. This one a 3 game trip, and they have already lost...

Cleveland's already rough start looked to get much...

Cavs played hard in Miami, which is all I was really hoping for

The beating that Ryan and them put on him felt like way more than one win. I was actually surprised to realize he had won six of seven times already. The team splits, however, could possibly be spun into something encouraging.  There were only four other NBA teams he's averaged less points against for his career through seven games. So the good guys are like the filth...
