Head coach Byron Scott mixed up the lineups on Friday night against the lowly Washington Wizards but unfortunately for Cavs fans, the end result was still the same as Cleveland dropped its fifth straight game. Ryan Hollins and Alonzo Gee got the start in place of Omri Casspi and Semih Erden. Amazingly, this was Antawn Jamison’s first game at the Verizon Center since he was traded for Zydrunas Ilgauskas in 2010. Jamison felt right at home, chucking up 24 shot and  leading the Cavaliers with 29 points. The Cavs will now host the Jazz on Monday night, looking to end this five-game skid.

Sessions could be target at trade deadline

G Ramon Sessions doesn't want to become an NBA vagabond. On the other hand, he wouldn't mind being a starter at some point in his career. Like everyone else in the NBA, he's anxiously awaiting the March 15 trade deadline. He'd love to know whether he'll remain with the Cavaliers or move to his fourth NBA team in the last five years. Despite being stuck behind...

Byron Scott Likely to Make Changes to Cavs Starting Lineup, Rotation

Following Cleveland’s 112-91 loss to the Chicago Bulls, Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott appears to have reached his breaking point with regard to his starting lineup. Rooted mostly in defensive effort and execution, Scott stated that he is “concerned” to the point of making changes to his starting five and rotation, this game marking the first time this season where he has...

Lack of important stuff dooms Cavs

CLEVELAND -- Kyrie Irving or not, too often the Cavaliers look like a team thats playing a game merely because its on the schedule. Actually, its probably only happened five or six times, but even that is too much in a season like this. Its definitely happened in both home losses to the Chicago Bulls, the latest a 112-91 hammer job Friday at The Q. Granted, rookie point guard...

Cavaliers Host Bulls as Kyrie Irving Prepares for Derrick Rose

Cavaliers hope to avoid another thrashing from the Bulls Once again, a point guard matchup will be the focus of all eyes. Kyrie Irving, #1 pick, Rookie of the Year candidate, and hope of a rebuilding franchise squares off with Derrick Rose, former #1 pick, former Rookie of the Year, and former hope of a rebuilding franchise. The Cleveland Cavaliers (13-20, 10th in the East) return...

Box Score: Bulls 112, Cavaliers 91

The Chicago Bulls came to Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night and walked away with an easy double digit victory. The big news for the Cavaliers was the absence of Kyrie Irving, who did not play due to illness. Irving was activated before the game but it was unlikely that Coach Byron Scott was going to push him much against one of the league’s best teams. With Irving down, the Cavs...

Cavaliers Sign Harris To 2nd 10-Day Contract

The Cavaliers will re-sign Manny Harris to a second 10-day contract.

Cavaliers drop fourth straight in loss to Bulls

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Luol Deng scored a season-high 24 points and Derrick Rose added 19 as the Chicago Bulls won their fifth straight, 112-91 on Friday night over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were without rookie guard Kyrie Irving. Up by 12 at halftime, Chicago built a 24-point lead in the third quarter and coasted to its 12th win in 14 games to stay on Miami's heels for the best...

JaVale McGee ponders life from the bench

JaVale McGee. The name has just caused comedy and violent shaking of the head. So much talent and physical ability seemingly put in someone that just has not realized what is necessary for team ball. Worse, he is on a team full of those types of players. Even though McGee has been a starter for just the last two seasons, McGee has been a disappointment. This season, he has shown...

Wizards F Blatche to be eased back into lineup

Washington Wizards forward Andray Blatche will be eased back into the lineup starting Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Blatche returned to practice Thursday for the first time in more than a month. He had been sidelined since the end of January with a strained left calf muscle. The 25-year-old Blatche has appeared in only 17 games, averaging 10.3 points and 7.1 rebounds...

Cavs can't close rally in loss to Wizards

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Jordan Crawford scored 31 points and John Wall added 24 to lead the Washington Wizards to a 101-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Antawn Jamison scored 29 in his return to Washington but missed a 3-point attempt to tie the game with 35 seconds to play. It was Jamison's first appearance in the Verizon Center since being traded from...

One Fan Gets Closure

You might have got the sense that as a fan, I love Nick Young. I love what he brings to the team, I don’t question his shot selection and I value his three-point shooting ability. But as a fan, I’m willing to accept the truth, and now actually look forward to the future. You can attribute that to one Mr. Jordan Crawford. Nick Young has a history of some streaky shooting...

Cavs in nation's capital to face Wizards after getting crushed by Derrick Rose & the Bulls

I timed my walk up to the Q last night to coincide perfectly with a torrential downpour. Though I walked in completely drenched, I do so both willingly and hopefully nonetheless. Kyrie Irving was about to match-up for the first time ever with Derrick Rose, maybe. I knew Irving was a game-time decision by then, but maybe he'd play, I thought. Only he didn't, just like the...

Blatche Concentrating On Playing Through Trade Rumors

The Wizards are actively shopping Andray Blatche, but have been unable to find an interested team.

Warriors-Wizards Preview

The Washington Wizards finally took advantage of some strong performances from two of their young players last time out. In their next game, the Wizards might benefit from the absence of one of Golden State's young stars. A foot injury has Stephen Curry's status unknown for the struggling Warriors' visit to the Verizon Center on Monday night. John Wall has averaged...

Cavaliers-Wizards Preview

The Washington Wizards continue to falter, due largely to an inability to make plays when it counts most. A visit from the scuffling Cleveland Cavaliers - in addition to Andray Blatche's likely return - could help them get back on track. Trying to avoid a seventh consecutive defeat, the Wizards look Saturday night to continue their home dominance of the Cavaliers, who are hoping...
