Once the big names area all signed during the NBA’s free agency period, and the most of the blockbuster trades are completed, NBA news is scarce until the season actually begins. We are a little more than a month away from training camp, which means nothing but highlights from street ball and recreational leagues that NBA players participate in. Most of the time, we are just watching somebody getting dunked on. But today we have a video of new Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings being slapped by former NBA bench player Mike Taylor in the famous Los Angeles Drew League. Before we head to the incident, which led to benches clearing and an ejection for Taylor, we figured we explain what the Drew League is. It’s a summer basketball league that brings together amateurs and pros in the inner city. You can checkout its history at its website. Pretty remarkable. Anyway, the reason you are here. The way the highlights are edited show Jennings getting in the face of Taylor after being taunted.
