#NBA sources say Rajon #Rondo had been suspended for 2 games for his role in last nights shoving match w/ Nets. Kevin Garnett has been fined
— Mike Dowling (@MDowlingWCVB) November 29, 2012
If this is true, it’s definitely on the low side of what people were afraid of. I saw people expecting up to 10 today.
In today’s NBA, a 2-game suspension for this is probably the best case scenario.
Update: Danny Ainge confirms it:
Danny Ainge said Rondo’s been suspended 2 games.

#Celtics team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said team is not pressed to fill 15th spot, but PF/C is more of need than PG

Obviously one of the key statement's here is that the C's are in no rush to fill the spot left by Darko, but it does signal which direction they are...
The Celtics beat the Portland Trailblazers emphatically by a score of 96-78 last night, even if their star point guard was not around to see the action after being ejected against the Nets. However, the talk in the locker room for Kevin Garnett was about Doc’s comment that other teams think the Celtics are “soft”. [...]
The Boston Celtics met the Brooklyn Nets earlier tonight at the TD Garden arena, and things got wild. Kris Humphies "punched" if you will, Kevin Garnett in the face while he was going up for a shot. Celtics guard Rajon Rondo didn't like what he saw and went after Kris. The fight went into the crowd, but nothing really seemed to happen after that. Not nearly...
According to the Boston Globe, Boston Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge, speaking on WEEI Boston Radio this afternoon indicated that Rajon Rondo will be suspended for 2 games for his role in last night’s altercation with Kris Humphries of Brooklyn Nets. The Celtics should consider themselves fortunate that their all-star point guard didn’t receive a [...]
The Celtics have problems. That’s pretty obvious. But one thing that has clearly dug under the skin of both Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers is the Celtics continued propensity to be… lazy. Check out the quotes yesterday… first from Danny
“A frustrating thing that I’ve had with this team over the last two years, not just this year — matter of fact it might be less this...
With LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trailblazers coming into Boston, The Oregonian posted an interesting article about the matchup: Does Garnett’s style of play, and irritation, bring out the best in Aldridge? Can I quickly dispel this and say no?
According to article, Aldridge has a list of people who really bring out the aggravation in him. Guys like A’mare Stoudemire,...
Danny Ainge announced on WEEI that Rondo has been given a 2 game suspension for his part in the fight that took place in the Nets game on Wednesday. Rondo will miss Friday's game at home against the Portland Trail Blazers and Saturday's game in Milwaukee against the Bucks. He should return for the game against the Timberwolves next Wednesday at TD Garden.
Following the dust-up that occurred Wednesday night in the Celtics vs. Nets game, both head coaches and several players had their own comments to add on the situation. Sorry, no comments from Rondo as he was escorted by security from the arena, Kris Humphries or Gerald Wallace. I’m sure they were thinking about the [...]

There are a lot of CSNNE reporters I like. Michael Felger in not one of them. He's openly stated he doesn't like the Celtics or the NBA, yet CSNNE gives him a major platform to discuss the NBA. Yesterday he was going off on how KG ran away from Gerald Wallace and would lose a fight to any hockey player.
"I would take, almost literally, anyone in the NHL over Kevin Garnett...

The Celtics pasted the Portland Trailblazers at TD Garden tonight, 96-78. Courtney Lee and Jeff Green both stepped-up, and Kevin Garnett was vintage KG. He scored his 10 points on a variety of bank shots, fadeaways and sweet jumpers. Ticket also finished with 5 boards & 4 assists in 23 minutes. Jeff Green was aggressive from the jump and led the C’s with...
Danny Ainge had a private conversation with Rajon Rondo following his third suspension in nine months.
The Celtics barely missed Rondo as they routed the Trailblazers 96-78. Strong performances by Jeff Green, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett gave Celtics fans hope that they can play without their floor general. Jared Weiss of CLNS Radio recaps the game in tonight’s edition of “Three at the Buzzer”. Filmed and [...]
With the Nets up 51-35 in the first half of their game against the Celtics last night, tempers flared when Nets' Kris Humphries fouled Celtics' Kevin Garnett sending him crashing to the floor.
Rajon Rondo didn't take to kindly to Humphries' foul on his teammate and that's when a brawl broke out.
Boston head coach responded to the brawl saying the...
February 22nd, 2012 – The Boston Celtics lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-104 dropping their record to 15-17. Even the most ardent members of Celtics Nation declare the “window” shut for the team. The break-up of the Big Three seems inevitable as Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and maybe even Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett [...]
