I think not. Yet that is exactly what happened last night during Game 5 of the Western Conference playoff series between the Lakers and Thunder, a game that sent the Lakers home for the season with barely a whimper. Hat tip: r/NBA Really, Cardinal was just stating a fact, a rather amazing one: Kobe Bryant, one of th...

Kobe Bryant Nails a Reverse Layup

Kobe Bryant is a shot maker. Give Kobe Bryant a jumper, a shot inside, or anything in between. He'll find a way to put the ball in the basket. Kobe not stepping aside -- even in defeat

OKLAHOMA CITY -- I was thinking, as I watched L.A. Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant on Monday, how little it mattered his 33 years, his fading youth. Whatever else has faded, Kobe still has that ability to bend a basketball court to his will, to make us say wow, to dominate like few since Jordan. And so he reminded us again Monday. Here was a guy fighting for his legacy, for his sixth...

Movin' on up: Oklahoma City Thunder advance to next round

Last night the Thunder ousted the L.A. Lakers from the NBA playoffs. I can't say I'm disappointed. I CAN say I'm pretty happy about that. I dislike Kobe Bryant so much as a human being that I find it impossible to root for him. Yes, I'm a girl. I have a hard time separating a player's personal behavior with his athlete's persona. Don't even get me started...
