In March, Brooklyn Nets’ star point guard Deron Williams has simply been incredible, averaging 23.8 points and 7.3 assists in 9 games, shooting 49 percent from the field. This is a lot better than the numbers he had at the beginning of the season, when he battled high expectations from his new 100 million dollar contract, weight issues, injuries and a coach he didn’t seem to connect with in Avery Johnson. However, ever since PJ Carlesimo became coach, Williams has regained his All Star form and has proven to the Nets that he is worth his new massive contract and the responsibility of being the franchise player in their new high demand home of New York.
The Brooklyn Nets spent over 300 million dollars this off-season on Williams, Brook Lopez, Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries and Joe Johnson, so a lot was expected. After a rough start, they are finally playing the way they were supposed to all season and could get to as high as the third seed in the East. This has all happened during W...

Andray Blatche may become "amnesty mercenary"
Very quietly throughout the season, Andray Blatche has had something of a rebirth.

RIP, Sweet Brooklyn Nets PR Twitter
Last month, With Leather briefly celebrated the joy that was the Brooklyn Nets PR Twitter account, a fun oasis in an otherwise dry and arid NBA social media scene. That account was responsible for the epic deadpan you see in the header, and for other, totally asinine statistical gems like this:Sadly, that beautiful voice has been silenced. The Nets want a unified voice from their...
